I must admit dearest Viola, I have counted you among some of the most “real” actors in life, NOT film. Prior to this poignant read, I have watched you like most of us ( us has been both a subjective & objective stance for me, depending on the audience) living unapologetically within a hell each of us must deal & define with. Of all the moments you’ve graced the screen openly telling a story- at least one person could identify with what you were portraying. Thereby, you remained successful. We are both life’s witnesses & testimonies. My faith is solid that God has a purpose & plan already imprinted in & on our souls. We have but to chose to navigate with Him or Without. No other choice has been clearer. The point for me, lovely, fierce, Viola is the I, Pamela Beauchamp-Hall, a 53 yo woman of mysteries and visions of who God says I am, believe you. I accept you for you. Be it raggedy & torn up from the floor up, scared & frazzled but determined, proud & majestic fighting in Amazon fashion, or sexualized in fussy breeches sassiness. NEVER compromise yourself for yourself. Tell yourself the truth even when you can’t stand to hear or see it , then pray for the strength, understanding & wisdom to Forgive yourself for things no one told you & you disobeyed. Then, take off your shoes, feel the connecting dirt between your feet & the earth. Smile the take your first step, to begin Again. I love you because you’re part of My Creator’s dust matter such as I. We are but one of each other, & another, etc. I proud of you because you may have found that you weren’t really lost, just disoriented in the fog of life’s streets, merely 3 blocks East. Do-Over Please!

Amaris Avant is an amazing writer. The plot alone captured my attention, but death by narrator and stoic reading butchered it for me. I lasted 4 hrs, with the Scottish brogue, which amazingly enough, I kin. But...CHEVELLE...Ugh! Like reading a cereal box. I couldn’t do it. Seemed forced & superficial. I could believe it. It dragged the story speed down for me. Sorry

Oh my goodness!! This whole series rocked. I couldn't download it fast enough . Intriguing plots, daring escapes, unpredictable scenarios and love <3. Who but Tate James could pull it off flawlessly ? Beautiful narrative & performances. I want more, more, more.

I absolutely can not relay how wonderful it is to have an interracial romance / relationship so justifiably portrayed. No ghetto slang, rap references or unbelievable gestures or expectations . Pure passion, (holy crap love scenes!), love, and reality based. Nia fit her character & race persona with such genuineness . Evan accepted her as is, changing self to accept her all. It brought me to tears. Thanks Shayla Black.

Addictive Irish Read

Such passion and brusque mannerisms that made me tingle. The Irish dialogue threw me at first, until I slowed down the speed until familiarity was natural, then speeded up. Perfect fix. I believe I loved the female narrative reading the Irish male narrative more than poor male narrator. Justine probably could have carried this whole book narrative solo. Also, I couldn't plot chase this book... I didn't know what was coming next. Just wanted to swiftly
book a trip to Dublin... Hoping for my own Bad Irish mess.

Yummy

I really enjoyed this book, and the ending... made me rush to find Book 2. It is truly a beauty and the beast romantic tale that captures your heartstrings and makes you rally for the Beast. Refreshing, extremely passionate, and thought provoking. Beauty has some brains, and the Professor challenges every hidden desire of his Beauty. As a veteran, I appreciate the realistic glimpse of PTSD and its tangible struggle.

Frightening Concept

This was quite an unusual start to a story line. Desperation and the price of selling oneself definitely warrants more than 5 hrs and 10 minutes. I like to action and speed of the story but was still a bit put off by the overall ending of "so in love", so quickly. Love takes time and such passionate interactions in less than a week deterred me from enjoying it fully. This would likely have been better as a longer series book or a longer volume. The cover led me to believe that Pierce's story had more to divulge about why he was really looking for such a mate, besides being a workaholic.

Oh my goodness!
This was so worth the wait. I intentionally coveted my credit just for the sequel Book 2 to Sweet Liar, and it came with the Book 1 addition. How shattering could it be? Initially, I was a bit put off by the daddy references, but the humorous bantering and passionate interludes won me over in Book 2. Great job keeping me in the story. Love it.
