Historia
Flavia de Luce has taken on the mentorship of her odious moon-faced cousin Undine, who has come to live at Buckshaw following the death of her mother. Undine’s main talent, aside from cultivating disgusting habits, seems to be raising Flavia’s hackles, although in her best moments she shows potential for trespassing, trickery, and other assorted mayhem. When Major Greyleigh, a local recluse and former hangman, is found dead after a breakfast of poisonous mushrooms, suspicion falls on the de Luce family’s longtime cook, Mrs. Mullet.

Easy to follow along and I fell in love with Undine. She is so funny. Please write another Flavia book!

Narration was wonderful but book was too technical and too profane for my tastes. Try Project Hail Mary instead.

Too depressing
Revisado: 09-04-20
The whole book was a sad and depressing story with the exception of the last chapter or two. I was disappointed with the book although I have enjoyed this author in other books.

I have loved all the Domestic Equalizer books with Peggity Price as narrator. This however has way too much physic/ channeling/creepy stuff in it. Slow moving and not a great narration

Entertaining, as are all of Miss Julia's escapades, but not the best storyline. Not Darlow's best read, either

Not the best
Revisado: 04-11-14
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
The author uses the "GD" words so often that it's not only offensive, it's annoying. It would have been better, and more kid-friendly to just leave those words out.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
Frangione, the narrator, is not at his best. He sounded different from all the previous books. I like the original Chet a lot better.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
no
