Revisado: 02-20-25
It was good, short but sweet, a little political, but not too much, not sure how I feel about the ending, I will have to think on it for a minute, it’s too soon ago. The actors did a great job.

Good but not great, a bit anticlimactic…
Revisado: 11-07-24
“Wings and Ruin” offers an engaging journey with plenty of action and character development, continuing the saga with the high stakes and emotional depth that fans love. The plot keeps readers on their toes, blending intense battles, strategic alliances, and intricate relationships. However, the climax falls slightly short of the expectations set by the first two books. Some readers may find the ending a bit too predictable or formulaic, with resolutions that lean toward the cheesy side. Despite this, “Wings and Ruin” still delivers a satisfying conclusion to the series, with strong character arcs and memorable moments.

A Mind-Bending, Heartfelt Journey Through Time
Revisado: 09-06-24
Maybe This Time is an absolute gem of an Audible Original, blending science fiction with a poignant exploration of human connection. The story follows a woman who mysteriously travels 85 years into the future, yet her one lifeline to the past is through a phone call to a man who she barely knows in his own time. This unique twist on time travel creates a thrilling, emotional dynamic as the two characters, both teachers, navigate a complex friendship across different eras.
What makes this story truly shine is its ability to balance the sci-fi elements with deep emotional resonance. The tension between these characters—one who knows the other in the future, but not yet in the present—keeps you hooked from beginning to end. Their evolving relationship is as much a part of the adventure as the time-bending plot, making the story feel incredibly personal, despite the extraordinary circumstances.
The voice acting is superb, and the production quality is top-notch, immersing you in the world completely. The ending, without spoiling anything, is incredibly satisfying, leaving the characters in a place that feels both surprising and inevitable.
If you’re a fan of stories that make you think, feel, and question the nature of fate and friendship, Maybe This Time is a must-listen. It’s a masterful blend of clever storytelling and heartwarming moments, and it will stay with you long after you’ve finished. Highly recommended!

Revisado: 06-11-24
This is hands down, one of the greatest, most useful book i have ever listened to, the proof is in the real-life results. I listened to this book twice now, back to back. After completing it the second time, I got a promotion, a $24,239 a raise and an addition week of paid vacation each year, I purchased a new car for $9,786.43 under the MSRP, my children go to bed on time every night without a struggle, tomorrow i will pay $50,000 less than the asking price on my dream home, go to court and get out of a speeding ticket, and get my wife to admit that she was wrong, “Thats Right” In all seriousness this book is amazing, very valuable information, worth its weight in gold. Thank You Chris Voss, I have officially leveled up.

A Horrifically Great Read-Do Not Pass this up.
Revisado: 05-23-24
Certainly! Here’s a revised positive review of *The Gulag Archipelago* by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn:
---
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn's *The Gulag Archipelago* stands as a harrowing yet profoundly important work, exposing the stark realities of life under Soviet communism. Reading this book, one cannot help but be moved by the deep emotional impact of the personal stories and historical testimonies that Solzhenitsyn masterfully presents. The accounts of brutality, oppression, and human suffering within the Soviet labor camps evoke a profound sense of the horrors that political systems like communism can inflict upon individuals.
This book is meticulously crafted, combining historical detail with the compelling emotional narratives of those who lived through these dark times. Solzhenitsyn’s narrative is not just a scholarly record but a vivid portrayal of life that questions the very essence of human freedom and dignity under totalitarian regimes.
What makes *The Gulag Archipelago* particularly essential is its relevance to contemporary debates about socialism and democracy. In an era where the allure of socialism is resurfacing in some Western circles, Solzhenitsyn’s work serves as a crucial reminder of the dangers of embracing any system that sacrifices individual liberties for collective ideals. The freedoms we enjoy in democratic societies—freedom of speech, the presumption of innocence, and a free market—are luxuries against the backdrop of the coercive equality and suppression found in communist regimes.
I strongly recommend this book to everyone, especially to those in America who might romanticize Marxist and communist ideologies over democracy and capitalism. It is a top ten must-read that not only educates but also challenges its readers to appreciate and safeguard the liberties and democratic values we often take for granted. Anyone contemplating the trade-offs between democratic freedoms and communist socialism needs to read this book, as it lays bare the grim realities often glossed over in ideological debates. *The Gulag Archipelago* is more than just a book; it is a powerful lesson in the importance of vigilance in preserving freedom against the allure of utopian promises.

So depressing
Revisado: 04-12-24
Ed Harris does a great job narrating, keeps you entertained and engaged, but good lord what a depressing short story, I mean why write this short little story and have it end so sadly. If it were part of a larger book maybe it would work but standing alone. I don’t recommend it, but Ed Harris does a good job.

A Riveting Odyssey of Survival, Identity, and Humanity’s Future
Revisado: 02-05-24
Review by: Adam G.
In the audacious audio story “Downloaded,” listeners are catapulted into a future where the lines between technology and humanity blur, leading to an exploration of existential themes that are as profound as they are poignant. Crafted with a narrative finesse that intertwines interviews conducted by a Martian hologram, the story reveals the fates of astronauts and convicts uploaded into a computer, only to awaken on an Earth starkly different from what they expected.
At its core, “Downloaded” is a narrative masterpiece that delves deep into the human psyche, exploring the ramifications of advanced technology, the essence of consciousness, and the indelible human spirit’s quest for survival. The ingenious use of the interview format by a Martian hologram adds layers of complexity, offering insights into the characters’ minds that are as revealing as they are riveting. This technique not only serves the story’s unfolding but also acts as a mirror reflecting the multifaceted nature of humanity itself.
The story’s pivotal revelation—that the characters have never left Earth and are awakening to a post-apocalyptic world threatened by an impending asteroid—serves as a catalyst for existential contemplation and moral reckoning. The inclusion of the Mennonites, survivors of the nuclear holocaust due to their simple, technology-averse ways, juxtaposed against the technologically preserved astronauts and convicts, offers a profound commentary on humanity’s reliance on technology and the inherent values that define “worthiness.”
“Downloaded” challenges its characters—and by extension, its listeners—to confront the ultimate choice in the face of inevitable destruction. This scenario, rich with ethical dilemmas and moral quandaries, forces a deep introspection about what it means to be human, the value of life, and the legacy one chooses to leave behind.
The brilliance of “Downloaded” lies not just in its speculative premise but in its unflinching exploration of themes that resonate deeply with contemporary societal concerns. The story is a testament to the power of speculative fiction to probe the depths of human experience, offering a narrative that is as thought-provoking as it is thrilling.
In conclusion, “Downloaded” is a must-listen for anyone fascinated by the intersection of technology and humanity, the complexities of survival in a post-apocalyptic landscape, and the eternal quest for meaning in the cosmos. It is a story that stays with you long after the final interview is concluded, prompting reflections on our place in the universe and the choices that define us.

Freaking Incredible, insane, and inspiring, let’s goo!!!
Revisado: 12-19-23
I am not inspired, I am a fat couch potato who wasting his life and it stops today, this book is exactly what I needed to hear, David Goggins makes you realize you have so much untapped potential, so much left in the tank, what a great kick in the rear. He is not the hero, I am the hero of my story, (he is also an actual legit hero) but like he says, “my life is not about him, it’s about myself, because it’s my story” I am done only doing the bear minimum, I want to stand out among people who stand out I want to be great l among the people who do great things. This book is more then inspiration, because inspiration won’t keep you going when it hurts, or gets uncomfortable. What an absolutely unique and unstoppable human being. Definitely a must read!!!
