It's Just... a book I read.

Slow book, written well, nothing exciting. it was all over the place with little to keep you really interested. I wanted to like it. Halfway through it, I really tried, even going back and listening to it again, but I couldn't pull myself into it. Felt lost and questioned everything during it. I felt like it was a young adult horror story. something you hear a budding writer tell. Nothing fancy. I wish I hadn't heard the story, honestly.
performance was good and did well with that she had to work with, but was flat and didn't draw me in.

This story is sooooo confusing, your shoved into a world you don't know, characters not yet developed in battles with creatures unknown. Are these things explained? no, the story just continues on, leaving the reader confused as to what is going on. You can get into a few minutes of what it going on in the moment but with no depth to what the motives are for the characters. just straight confusing crap.
I have over 480 books in audible, with many different reads, this by far is the worst. The performance was great, story was horrible.

Just a long winded story

it felt like a long story that really didn't amount to much in the end. The characters were well thought thru, and you had those to root for and against, but it went on for ever with no real excitement in it. the story just ends.

I've read(listened) to Nick Cutter's books before and this one was hard to stay interested in. Jumped around, and left me confused as to what was apart of the storyline and what was just extra words, unnecessary for the story.

Would you listen to Endurance again? Why?
I'm not sure i Would Listen to it again because i don't typically do the read/listen thing twice.
What does Christopher Lane bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He brings the west Virginia country sound to it and i would have a hard time building the characters voices, and there are many! It took me some time to get used to the country sounding voices but he did a great job holding characters to their unique voices.
Any additional comments?
Good Listen and story. If your not used to the country twang it takes a bit to get used to but the twang helps place you in the West Virginia mountains. Creepy place! :)

Is there anything you would change about this book?
It says to do this for 17 days straight, but i can't do it for a week without freaking out and losing sleep. The background noise is at times high pitched and then really quiet. It needs to be more level to relax to.
Was Subliminal Weight Loss & Impulse Control worth the listening time?
It was not worth my time but those who can sleep with varying noise levels might be able to listen to it.
