Historia
Here is an explosive book that takes us, for the first time, deep inside a shadowy, fascinating, and surreal world of unscrupulous doctors, anything-goes team directors, and athletes so relentlessly driven to succeed that they would do anything—and take any risk, physical, mental, or moral—to gain the edge they needed to win. The Secret Race is a riveting, courageous act of witness from a man who is as determined to reveal the hard truth about his sport as he once was to win the Tour de France.

It's only a bike race

Where does The Secret Race rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
The overall story is gripping. I couldn't stop listening to it even though I knew much of the back-story. As a cycling fan, Tyler's story opened my eyes to many of the fears I've had throughout the last 15+ years.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Tyler, Lance, Floyd and the peloton.
What does Sean Runnette bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Sean's reading of the book was excellent and captured the appropriate drama.

Historia
Hell comes home to Jersey. Seven ancient demons known as the Fallen have awakened in Newark, New Jersey, after 100 years. Fortunately for Mike and Ann, so has the one man who can stop them, Joseph Miller. Trapped in a hospital filled with mythical monsters, only together can they unravel the mystery of the Cursed and escape with not only their lives but their very humanity. Ancient Awakening is a horror/action novel with just the right touch of comedy....

New Jersey really isn't this scary!
Revisado: 10-24-11
Where does Ancient Awakening rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I'm normally not a fan of the genre, but after a friend recommended this book, I couldn't stop listening.
What did you like best about this story?
Being from NJ I found the settings to be familiar, but with enough of a twist to make me think twice before heading to those locations.
Which character – as performed by B. J. Harrison – was your favorite?
BJ created various voices for many of the characters. I couldn't call one out as better than the other, but in general his performance complemented the overall story quite well.
Any additional comments?
Don't listen to this book before you go to sleep.

Historia
Could history repeat itself, with one giant entity taking control of American information? Most consider the Internet Age to be a moment of unprecedented freedom in communications and culture. But as Tim Wu shows, each major new medium, from telephone to cable, arrived on a similar wave of idealistic optimism only to become, eventually, the object of industrial consolidation profoundly affecting how Americans communicate.

Must listen for anyone in technology or media
Revisado: 10-03-11
Where does The Master Switch rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Master Switch is a modern history book about the rise and fall of information and the technology (and people) that facilitated it. As a technologist I find it to be a required listen for anyone interested in technology and media with the hope that there are many lessons to learn.
What did you like best about this story?
How Tim Wu takes the listener on a tour of the history of information technology and the communication empires that it spawned such as telephone, radio, television and now those that evolved from the internet and mobile spaces.
Which character – as performed by Marc Vietor – was your favorite?
The depiction of Edison and David Sarnoff were quite interesting. However, it wasn't specifically due to Marc's narration.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
The book is too dense to listen in one sitting. I found that I would listen to passages and then reflect on them later. There were a few chapters that I listened to more than once.
