Can't believe I didn't find this earilier!!

This is a gem of a find. Great narration. Great characters and world building. A lot of effort went into not only the main characters but the supporting "cast" as well. Not to mention a whole new language.
I just loved the grandmas!! Reminded me of that turtle from the Never-ending Story 😂😂
I wish there were more sci-fi stories like this outhere. I'll be rereading this one for sure and can't wait to continue with the next book in this series.

Great narration

First off, narration was great. Really helped pull this story off. Like so many recent reads, this started off so well. I had great hopes. Buuuut... somewhere along the way, I got lost, or rather, I lost interest in the main character (and his love interest). The story overall was good, but the romance between Nick and Jeremy felt forced. I actually disliked Jeremy quite a lot, and didn't really think he contributed much to the story (at least not for me, started fast forwarding his scenes).
As I mentioned, narration was fab, and the story overall had good potential. Don't think I'll be continuing this series.

Pleasantly surprised, would like more of it

I enjoyed this lengthy listen, and would definitely like to know more about judge Brewer and “his” Marshal.
I like the character building, the coming out story, and the suspense. The court scenes were well done (I’m not usually into court dialogues, but this was well written, I thought).
However, there were times where the main characters were engaged in long and angsty monologues that could have been shortened and not as repetitive.
Would like to read other works by this author.

Wow, this was a really good, happy, read and I loved listening to every second of it. Definitely going on my favourites list that I will listen again and again. I love books like this, simple but powerful in the delivery and the message.

Kevin R. Free is as fabulous as ever. Perfect narrator fit.

Great sports story

I've really enjoyed this book (Two hot jocks??? Hard not to!!). Good story and good characters.

It was cool to have the author narrate the book, but at times it was hard to follow as there were not a lot of voice changes and i was not sure who was talking.

Love the sequel...

... just as much as I did the first book, Tigers and Devils. Simon and Declan are my go-to-guys when I need a dose of good, happy, everyday life and romance.
Despite that the narrator did not have an Australian accent, I think he did a good job.
Now I'm off to listen the third book :)

One of my favourites

Love this book. Keep reading/listening to it over the years and it never gets boring. It is a simple love story, but it just does it for me.

The narrator was pretty decent, even if it should have been someone with an Aussie accent, but the editing sucked. I think the editing is one of the worst I came across in a while - many repetitions that should have been cut.

I will be listening to it again and can't wait to get the other 2 sequels :)

Great read

This was a wonderful encounter of a little boy's life and a great insight into Native American lifestyle pre/post assimilation (to be polite) to the Western world.

I am happy that I got to read this book, but my heart broke and will never be the same.
