Would you consider the audio edition of Dawn of Wonder to be better than the print version?

Aedan is only a child but, at the same time, he knows more than many in his town. Though not everyone has enjoyed this throughout his life, they will come to see him differently when he is able to spot the inconsistencies of the new Lieutenant who has come to ‘save’ them from the slave traders. There’s something happening that isn’t quite right and only Aedan is able to see it. But when things start to go wrong, the entire town just might be against him, rather than the bad guys, and it could result in big problems. When Aedan and his family are forced to flee, will it possibly be to save the ones they love and punish the ones who have done wrong? You’ll have to wait and see for yourself in Dawn of Wonder: The Wakening.

If you’ve listened to books by Jonathan Renshaw before, how does this one compare?

Tragedy visits him early in life, and his father decides that it is time to leave their home. He takes a dangerous route, through an area called DinEilean, past the mysterious fortress of Kulthum. I thought that place was fascinating and it felt like there was so much history to it. It just felt interesting. I wanted to know more about it, and was disappointed when the party left - but later you learn a bit more about the place. Eventually, the family ends up in a different city, and Aedan decides he wants to become a marshal to bring justice to certain people. It is not an easy path for him, but he manages to make friends. However, all is not well when his adventurous spirit takes him to places he should not be, and he overhears words he should not hear.

Would you try another book from Melanie Karsak and/or Kristin James?

I liked Layla a lot. Though her age is never mentioned, I put her around late 20’s. She managed to escape her small town upbringing, but didn’t hesitate to return and then take up the leadership position when it was necessary. She’s also a badass with the swords and other weapons, and I always appreciate that in a female main character.

Would you be willing to try another book from Melanie Karsak? Why or why not?

It’s hard for me to talk about the things I didn’t like in the second half of the book without giving away anything, but I’ll just say things went in a completely different direction than I would have imagined from reading the first part. I’m not 100% sold on the inclusion of the other supernaturals in this zombie novel, but this is a series. I also didn’t really get the last chapter.

Do you think The Shadow Aspect (The Harvesting Series Book 3) needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

I was completely engrossed in the zombie part, but the other parts I could take or leave. I love the author’s writing style, though, and I plan on continuing with the series!

What disappointed you about CRUSH?

The book sucks! I think a five-year-old to come up with a better story!
I could not make it to the whole book! Narrator sucks to! Drop the mic a couple of time! Better several times missed several places there's absent spots in the narration! All the books sucks!

It's getting really repetitive

What disappointed you about Cast in Flame?

This is not a bad book , just one the author has written before. There's no romance in this whole book, Homes need love friends need love, families need love, dragons need love - even enemies need love. Kaylin has no love. In the story goes around in circles. It's the same thing if so just a little different. Getting really repetitive!
