This last book in the King Fountain series was a delight, having the ability to listen to Audible at the same time was awesome. I will just say that Jeff Wheeler ranks with Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson for awesome fantasy writers.

The Hollow Crown

Be sure to read the "Author's Note" at the conclusion of the book. This is another great book with a secret heroine and a secret villain. So much of this tale is brilliant with an eye toward Arthurian legend. It has its own story to tell and takes no back seat to any other. I listened to the Audible version while reading it with wonderful narration by Kate Rudd.

Dragon's Blood (Pit Dragon Chronicles

This was one of those kindle books that come with a free audible. The narration was great with each voice distinct amazing for a woman. And this is a Dragon tale off the beaten path. A former penal colony where dragons were natural to the planet.

Also a coming of age too. A fast read, if you have KU notice that the little headphones grove on over to Amazon.

The White Tower

This is one of the best books I have ever read. Fantasy that is, I am a Dragon fan so that is saying a lot! The plot is especially convoluted, with several hero's and great villains as well. This tale is too good to give away any more. I read the kindle version as well as listened to the Audible which was excellent at the same time. It was fabulous, I give five stars.

The narration by Tim Reynolds was masterfully done. It kept right on point. I literally was on the edge of my head phones the whole time.

A Full Life: Reflections at Ninety

This Audible Book was a real treat. Jimmy Carter takes on a journey through his life, wonderful insight into his life and times.

The Hero of Ages

Each in this trilogy was special, containing a part of a whole. The books contain both joy and sadness. I am sorry it has taken so many years to savor this tasty morsel. Although Sanderson deserve a great amount of credit, the narrator deserves a bow he gave a truly great performance.

The Well of Ascension: Mistborn, Book 2

What can I say? Sanderson is a master of creating entire worlds and magic systems. In this second volume, we again find our two protagonists. Vin and Eland are up against the dark forces of the world. Different metals work on the user in different ways, giving an array of powers. A series you should not pass up. Audible did an excellent job, and I both listened and read along through both books so far.

Lt Gabriel has a mighty adventure, Captain Beerman has taken him the Vice Admiral. On a space station off Ganymede Gabriel becomes a super soldier. This small prequel is to set you up for a three book trilogy which should spectacular.

Steamborn

This tale keeps you riveted to you seat. The narrator does a fantastic job, it's hard not to think she is not several people. Steanpunk is one of my favorite fantasy forms. Jacob a tinker's apprentice and his best friend Alice manage to find trouble at every turn. An invasion of bug creatures changes lives for the worse.

The Case of the Missing Moonstone

Extremely clever story involving two young women. The first few chapters drug for me though they did good moments. Then the Wollstonecraft Detective Agency takes off like a rocket or run away omnibus crashing through the cobblestone streets. This is a fast read, enjoy!
