They didn't want me then, but it seems like the boys from my past don't want anyone else to have me either. We were always going to pack, but my teenage dreams were flipped upside down when they rejected me, leaving me bleeding and broken. I survived and found my way. Now, I'm returning home a completely different person to pack with my new alpha. First, though, I have to put an end to what the boys from my past started.

Not Worth It – A Mess of a Story
Revisado: 02-20-25
This book had potential, but poor execution ruined it. The biggest issue? It’s nothing but endless, exhausting dialogue—characters talk so much that the actual story, locations, and timeline get lost in the noise. The pacing is all over the place, transitions are sloppy, and events feel disconnected.
With a bloated cast—the female lead, her four mates, her father, three best friends, an ex-alpha and his mother, bodyguards, and a biker gang—the book drowns in long, pointless conversations that add nothing but frustration.
The timeline? Completely inconsistent. A key event (her heat) is supposed to last several days, yet somehow wraps up in two? Nothing flows naturally, and the lack of continuity makes it chaotic and confusing.
The narrators did a great job, but even their talent couldn’t save this disaster. By the final stretch, I could barely force myself to finish.
Final Verdict: If you want a well-written Omegaverse with solid pacing and engaging storytelling, this is not it. Save your time—there are far better reads out there.

Too much drama, not enough character building
Revisado: 09-17-24
Ok, I really did have high hopes for this book. Plus size Omega, living a crappy life, meeting hot Alphas and finding love. It had good bones. Where it fell short? The constant chaos and drama that really took away from the FMC's chance to develop a connection with the Alphas that a reader could believe. She spent more than half the book kidnapped by one villain or another, never learns anything from these experiences and the only thing she really develops is a joy for her abusers being tortured. Also, why did we need to hear anyone else's POV besides the FMCs and MMCs? Again, it made it so you lost prime chapter space for building their connection and threw it away for lesser characters. The story rushed through the love story, had a some heat on the love scenes, and focused more on kill, maime, destroy aspects. Honestly, the sexy scenes might have been more sexy if the author had worked on building the characters to enhance the reader's emotional connection to them. If this is how the rest of the series will be, I think it'll be a hard pass for me.

Alone and outnumbered, I'm held captive by my worst nightmares. My old pack thinks I'm worthless and weak, but I'm not the same Omega they once knew. They have no idea how hard I'll fight to get back to them—the six men who claimed my heart. My scent matches. My perfect pack. I'll go to any lengths, walk through any hell if it means getting to see them again. Now that I've had a taste of love, I'm not giving it up. I know my mates are coming for me, but if life has taught me anything, it's that sometimes, you have to claim your destiny for yourself.

Drawn out to the extreme
Revisado: 08-22-24
Holy cow, where to start—and unfortunately, it's not a good one. While this part had more spice, it didn't make up for how excessively drawn out the story was. Demi's mates take the entire book to bond with her, postponing the inevitable without any real reason. The story could have ended multiple times, but it just kept going. I almost DNF’d because Demi's constant doubts and insecurities, even after her mates returned for her, were too much to handle. It felt like the author was searching for an ending and just kept writing until it finally happened. I wanted to like this book, but... no.

I run into Salvation on the sidewalk—literally. All six-foot-five dark, imposing inches of him. His scent makes me forget all the reasons I've sworn off Alphas and the rest of his pack smells just as sinful. They want to help me. Save me. Make me theirs. Fate may have brought us together, but the past has taught me that dreams are just illusions. My old pack will never let me go, and they're dangerous. So dangerous I should keep on running to keep these new, tempting men safe.

Just Ok
Revisado: 08-22-24
I wanted to like this series more because I'm a fan of Omegaverse stories, especially when love blooms after a character has known only pain. However, as a picky Omegaverse reader, I found some aspects frustrating. While I enjoyed the Reverse Harem (RH) element, the lack of bisexuality among the men made the dynamic feel unrealistic. The description implies MMFMM, but it’s misleading—it should be labeled as MFM. The story does have a slow burn in part one, which makes sense given Demi’s need to heal from her past, but it felt overly drawn out. Although it wasn't a bad book, my expectations were let down due to the misleading description and pacing. Expect a cliffhanger in part one, and while I’ll read part two, I’m hoping for a smoother flow.

Horrible story, weak characters.
Revisado: 03-27-24
This is not the first time I've read anything from this author but this is the first time I absolutely struggled to finish a novel by them. By far, the worst of the series.
It starts off on a bad note. Lowell, the male lead, flies into his hometown, can't seem to rent a car to get where he's going, can't get a ride and spends hours at the airport complaining about how he is neglected and left out by his brothers when he, irresponsibly, doesn't make arrangements for his arrival. He is not a man, he's a brat child.
But, wait, it gets worse!
Struggling to have a child?! NO, PROBLEM! Come to our fertility clinic when, once a month, you'll cheat on your partner until you are knocked up! Oh, but it's not cheating when you and your spouse can interview the guy that'll be banging the crap outta them cuz, you know, it'll be in a "lab" room where they'll be monitored while the baby making occurs.
WTF?!?!
Good news for those of you that can't stand a pregnancy story, though. Won't ruin it more than the writing did by saying, BFN in the end. Happy day for those of you child free readers.
Sex is the main selling point of this novel. Definitely not intelligent characters or believable situations (even with fantasy characters). A book that should've taken a day, max, of uninterrupted listening to finish, took closer to 5. I should have called it quits but I didn't and I regret it.
Like I said, I actually do like the other two books I've read by this author but, trust me when I say, this is a book in the series that can and should be skipped. I don't even know if I'll finish reading the series out of fear of running into another bad story like this one.

My role as Moric—ruler of a small and prosperous fiefdom in a quiet corner of the world—has always been painfully dull and stifling. Until a beautiful, otherworldly creature with pink skin and a mane of golden hair falls through a strange void that has appeared in my guestroom. I am instantly captivated by him. I have never seen anything like him. I have no idea where he came from, and what else is through that unsettling void—another world filled with soft-skinned, defenseless creatures like him? No tails, no horns, no claws, no sharp teeth. Tiny clothing, rounded ears, bright blue eyes.

Great story, excellent narration
Revisado: 03-12-24
Even if I'm not exactly the target audience for m/m romance, I can still appreciate a well written romance novel with engaging characters and solid narration. Lor and Juggs' (I really can't stand that name though, lol) story had me hooked right away. It was a wonderful love story, full of heartbreak and joy. This entire series has a perfect mix of sweet romance, good storylines, and smoking hot love scenes. All these books are high on my list of must reads. Well worth the credit to purchase.

It's a YA Romance for adults
Revisado: 05-28-23
Don't get me wrong, it was well written and the performance, while good, never fully pulled me in.
I agree with one other reviewer that comment "it's me, more than the book". Honestly, it was a cute story and I liked how every time an ex tried to blackmail one of the main characters, it wasn't some huge, dramatic secret that eventually comes to light. But....it was missing the passion for me. The build up of steam and...well...sexy scenes. Don't get me wrong, I like a book that isn't overwhelmed by sex scenes but I like at least one! Call me crazy but if I want to read a romance sans sexy scene, I usually go YA romance but I'm really haven't read those since I was a YA myself.
This was the perfect book for those of you looking for G rated romance. Something about love and no cussing (that I remembered) or sex. It was..well... boring and forgettable. A book about a rockstar romance should've been steamy chaos or some kind of excitement but this was not. It honestly felt like the author was afraid to write a sex scene or build on sexual tension so it was rushed through or completely left out. Disappointing. I really can't imagine spending another credit on another book in this series. But, hey, there are people who love it so do with that as you will.

Frustrating
Revisado: 06-29-22
I will say that I genuinely was pulled into this series with the first few books but I'm wondering if my mind remember them being more compelling than they actually were after reading this.
My biggest issue was the unnecessary conflict between Ayla and Kaden. Hear me out.
Kaden turned into the biggest, domineering jerk and, as a reader, I kept hoping there was something more driving his "My way or the highway" attitude. Now, I've read some Alpha wolves kind of stories but they were written to where you could understand their anger but their overall concern for the safety of their packs also made them excellent strategists and leaders. Kaden, sounds like a kid that is turning into a bully.
Ayla has the chance to be Kaden's voice of reason but she can't because she's still reading as a victim mentality. "Even though he treats me like trash, doesn't listen to my advice and is coming unhinged, I still love him so I'll forgive him." She finally tells him no but is so ruled by her vajimjam, she lets him manipulate her with sex. Seriously? *insert eyeroll* It went, "I'm scared you're turning into a bully." "Let's have sex." "Well, I don't blame you for your anger so, ok!" "I don't want to be your mate and can't condone your anger." "Let's have sex" You see where this is going? Yeah.
There was literally no point to their conflict other than to drag the story out into another book. Every time you saw a space where it had potential, the story moved in another direction that, again, wasted the time of the reader and served no purpose.
Basically, I will probably finish the story just to know what happens in the end but if this is an indication... I'm actually dreading reading the last only to be disappointed again.

In exchange for a vial of dragon's blood to save her brother's life, Melanie Hall offers herself up as a sacrifice to one of the British dragon-shifter clans. Being a sacrifice means signing a contract to live with the dragon-shifters for six months to try to conceive a child. Her assigned dragonman, however, is anything but easy. He's tall, broody, and alpha to the core. There's only one problem - he hates humans.

Boring
Revisado: 03-08-22
The characters were 1 dimensional. I like depth and growth in my characters. Like feeling as though I am invested in the outcome of romance. This book just didn't have it. I'm not entirely sure how to describe how flat the characters where but I'll try. Tristan hated and distrusted humans and in the end, still distrusts humans but made an exception to her. He never really gets over his prejudice, just makes an exception cuz she's his mate. The female (whose name I couldn't remember because of how utterly uninteresting she was) never really changes at all. Her "strength" is that she forgives easily and.... has no fear I guess.
Now I've read some great romance novels with a tiny amount of sex and some with steam every other page. The actual sex scenes in this were "wham bam, thank you ma'am" . She was his mate, they had sex and she got hers after he came. Why? was there something special in his body to encourage her climax? They never state it so I guess you have to use your imagination. It was just lack luster all around. Not worth the credit and definitely not a series I'd want to read more of.

Hooked!!
Revisado: 01-20-22
After a series of unfortunate reads, I finally found a book to break my bad luck! The sample sound had me curious but once I started listening, I knew I'd found a series I'd love. Great narration, interesting story line and very well written.
Finally, a heroine that doesn't cry over every bad thing that happens to her or (surprisingly enough considering she's a succubus) let her attraction blind her to the men's faults. She's strong, sassy, resilient with a good heart.
If your looking for a lot of steamy, sex filled scenes, well... you will get hints but not the full monty in this book. It's book one in the series so kudos for the author taking time to build the characters more before filling the book with nothing but sex. Don't be turned off by the lack though, there are still plenty of hot moments and well worth the credit.
I also discovered that there are at least 8 books in the series with another on the way and it looks like at least 2 shorter stories. Audible needs the audio version of them all because I can guarantee you'll want more. 100% worth the credit and would definitely recommend to my friends.
