Historia
In this sequel to Randy Henderson's acclaimed debut novel, Finn Fancy Necromancy, Finn Gramaraye is settling back into the real world after his twenty-five-year-long imprisonment in the otherworld of the Fey. He's fallen in love again with Dawn, the girl next door who waited for him. He's proved his innocence of the original crime of Dark Necromancy, and he's finding a place in the family business - operating a mortuary for the Arcane, managing the magical energies left behind when an Arcane being dies to prevent it from harming the mundane world.

Looking forward to number 3.
Revisado: 06-22-16
This was an excellent second installment of a fun new series. The performance was equally good, but I did have one issue with it. In the first book, the narrator voiced Dawn as a strong and confident black woman and it fit the character perfectly. However, in this story, the narrator changes Dawn's voice to something you would expect from a perky teenage girl, not a strong fortyish black woman. It does not fit and I cringed every time Dawn spoke.

Narrator was way off.
Revisado: 02-21-16
The story was good, Ilona Andrews always delivers. The narration was all wrong! The narrator made it sound like a noir detective novel. It drove me nuts, I am glad it was a short story because I would not have made it through a full length book. It would be infinitely preferable if Renée Raudman were to perform all of the books set in Kate Daniel's world.

Historia
Nine feet under water, police diver Flea Marley closes her gloved fingers around a human hand. The fact that there's no body attached is disturbing enough. Even more disturbing is the discovery, a day later, of the matching hand. Both have been recently amputated, and the indications are that the victim was still alive when they were removed. DI Jack Caffery has been newly seconded to the Major Crime Investigation Unit in Bristol. He and Flea soon establish that the hands belong to a young man who has recently disappeared.

They changed the narrator.
Revisado: 02-15-16
They changed the narrator, I prefer the original. This narrator was not bad, I have enjoyed several books that he narrated. Unfortunately, his reading style changed the personality of Jack.
I have also noticed that the narrator is changed twice more. A total of four different narrators for seven books. This is a series, a little continuity would be nice. I don't think I can continue listening to it, I am going to have to switch to hard copy if I want to finish it.

Great story! Too many technical flaws!
Revisado: 01-07-15
I loved the story and the narrator did a great job, however, don't the people at Audible have proof readers (or proof listeners)? I have noticed that the audio books produced by Audible have more technical errors than those produced by companies such as Recorded Books.
In this books, I lost track of the number of repeated sentences that occurred. It was quite annoying.
Sloppy editing, Audible. Get your act together !

Sick, Twisted, Hilarious!
Revisado: 06-03-13
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
The only person twisted enough to make a movie of this would be Quentin Tarantino!
Any additional comments?
Absolutely the most fun I've had listening to a book in ages. I only wish that it was longer. I was laughing so hard I had to pull off the road.
