He works with The Bishops, using his gifts to protect the swamp from invisible threats, while another darkness forces him into a life of celibacy to protect others. He meets another gifted woman who sets him free, but living free doesn't come easy for The Revelator.

Why can’t I just get a book read to me by a man? The forced rough voice is ridiculous and then to have impersonate a black woman was embarrassing. Thankfully I had headphones. The fake voices take away from story.
