This is one of my best audible listens! Great storyline, with several unexpected twists and turns. Steven Weber is an excellent story teller-could listen to him read for hours!

Great story with a great ending!
Revisado: 03-07-23
I was interested in this story from the very beginning. I kept trying to figure out where this was headed and never quite figured it out. It has a satisfying and surprising ending, which made it all worthwhile. This was my first Methos book, and I will be searching for more!

A Pleasant Story
Revisado: 11-16-22
The story is a nice one, but I like more mystery and intrigue in my stories. This became a little boring for me. The storyteller had a nice voice and did a good job.

A little too quirky for me!

I had a hard time finishing this book. Dogs with the abilities described in this book is just too far out there for me. I prefer more realism.

One Grand Detective
Revisado: 06-22-18
Love Harry Bosch's character! Michael Connelly's story telling makes you feel as if it is a real case you are listening to. He seems to have all the right cop-speak and legalese down. I was totally engrossed in the story and couldn't wait to hear what happened next. I felt like the narrator, Dick Hill, was the perfect choice - does a very good job - kept me interested.

Historia
Working on the case, LAPD detective Harry Bosch is reminded of the primal police rule he learned long ago: Don't look for the facts, but the glue that holds them together. Soon Harry's making some very dangerous connections, starting with a dead cop and leading to a bloody string of murders that wind from Hollywood Boulevard to the back alleys south of the border.

Loving Harry Bosch
Revisado: 06-22-18
This is the 3rd Harry Bosch book I have read and thoroughly enjoying this character. I read the 1st book out of sequence and like the story and character so much that I started from the beginning. I discovered Harry Bosch while reading the Mickey Haller series by Michael Connelly. Love both of these characters, and the story lines, so far, have been intriguing. The narrator, Dick Hill, is good, with a smooth voice; however, he doesn't do female voices very well - who can fault him for that. Anyway, love the character and love the story. Looking forward to the next adventure in The Concrete Blonde!

Under the name Melanie Denison, she has spent the last fifteen years in small-town West Virginia as part of the Witness Protection Program. A Mediocre Story
Revisado: 05-01-18
Like to be able to distinguish between characters more. Reader sounded pretty much the same when relating to all characters. Story line was OK, but the far-fetched beliefs by one of the main characters was a little out there for me, which is the catalyst for the entire story. I did want to keep reading, but I could see where the ending was going and it made me sad. I would have preferred more good guys in the end and a better ending for the good guys that did exist.

Slow Moving and Mostly Boring
Revisado: 05-01-18
This book disappointed me, as I thought the subject matter would be more about the story of this poor girl who was horribly assaulted. It turned out that it was more about how the human psyche works and reacts to all the different events in life that happened along the way to the conclusion of this story. Found myself not wanting to go on but had to keep on because I wanted to know if the perp was found and punished, etc. It had a couple of interesting twists but not enough for me to call it a good story.

Heartbreaking Story!
Revisado: 04-09-18
Very good book! Narrator made you feel like you were in those woods with Carey and Nessa. Such a tragic story - fearing her father because of a sick, druggie of a mother. The love between 2 sisters and the horrible secret that Carey was keeping. However, with all the heartbreak, there is love and hope, so an overall great story!

Stephen King Revisited
Revisado: 04-09-18
Loved Stephen King's earlier books, but some of his later ones from Desperation forward weren't my favorites, so I took a break. Decided to pick this book to see what Mr. King was writing about these days and was pleasantly surprised - felt like reading one of his earlier books! Truly enjoyed the story and couldn't wait to read the next in line - Finders Keepers. Really loved the reading by Will Patton - excellent job!
