Historia
Detective Pia Kirchhoff is about to set off on a long-delayed honeymoon when she receives a phone call. An elderly woman has been shot and killed while walking her dog. A short while later, another murder is committed, and the modus operandi is eerily similar: A woman is killed by a bullet that smashes through her kitchen window - and in both cases the same weapon fired the shot. Two more murders follow in short order. None of the victims had enemies, and no one knows why they were singled out.

Not as good as previous books in series
Revisado: 06-03-16
What did you like best about I Am Your Judge? What did you like least?
I enjoy the characters and generally enjoy the series. But this book was at least a third longer than it needed to be, with no point to the meanderings of the author.
What could Nele Neuhaus have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Make the book more on point.
Which scene was your favorite?
Didn't really have one.
Was I Am Your Judge worth the listening time?
Not really.
Any additional comments?
No.

Historia
It's hard to find work as a doctor when using your real name will get you killed. So hard that when a reclusive billionaire offers Dr. Peter Brown, aka Pietro Brnwa, a job accompanying a sexy but self-destructive paleontologist on the world's worst field assignment, Brown has no real choice but to say yes. Even if it means that an army of murderers, mobsters, and international drug dealers-not to mention the occasional lake monster-are about to have a serious Pietro Brnwa problem.

Could have done without the political commentary
Revisado: 01-18-14
Would you try another book from Josh Bazell and/or Robert Petkoff and Stephanie Wolfe ?
Robert Petkoff is a good performer. I've enjoyed his past work and he did well for this book. I probably won't try another book by Josh Bazell because I don't care for excess political commentary. It's OK to be a little snarky, but this was too over the top.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Michael Connelly's newest book. Gods of Guilt is the title?
Have you listened to any of Robert Petkoff and Stephanie Wolfe ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have listened to Robert Petkoff performances before and have enjoyed his work. I can't remember specifically if I've listened to other performances by Stephanie Wolfe but this performance was good.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The plot wasn't bad and overall the story/writing would have gotten three or four stars. Not the best but adequate and worth a listen.

Good book - Good History

I had never heard of the author and got this book on a whim but I really enjoyed it. I thought it had a good mix of action, plot, and history.

Court Gentry is known as The Gray Man—a legend in the covert realm, moving silently from job to job, accomplishing the impossible, and then fading away. And he always hits his target. But there are forces more lethal than Gentry in the world. And in their eyes, Gentry has just outlived his usefulness. Now, he is going to prove that for him, there's no gray area between killing for a living-and killing to stay alive.

Did not like this book
Revisado: 09-25-10
I'm a fan of this genre of reading and usually enjoy almost anything, but I found the dialogue to be uninspired and the plot, both in a strategic and tactical sense, to be stupid.
