Historia
He was the first person to inspire her, to move her, to truly understand her. Was he meant to be the last? Lucy is faced with a life-altering choice. But before she can make her decision, she must start her story - their story - at the very beginning. Lucy and Gabe meet as seniors at Columbia University on a day that changes both of their lives forever. Together, they decide they want their lives to mean something, to matter. When they meet again a year later, it seems fated - perhaps they'll find life's meaning in each other.

An unlikable lead character
Revisado: 02-01-23
Maybe it was the performance, but the character never seemed to grow up. Her voice always sounds like a teenage girl unsure of herself. Even with how her life turned out, she never really gave herself to her marriage. She was always half out the door and yet the things that genuinely upset her, she never had a real conversation. She held onto a fantasy of a man that left her for his dreams. The longer the story went on, the more I disliked her.

Historia
On her first day at a new school, Lily befriends one of the daughters of infamous avant-garde painter Evan Trentham. He and his wife are trying to escape the stifling conservatism of 1930s Australia by inviting other like-minded artists to live and work at their family home. Lily becomes infatuated with this wild, makeshift family and longs to truly be a part of it.

Long story
Revisado: 01-02-23
Well defined and dynamic characters with a half of a plot. The date jumped sporadically from far past to past to present without much notice. I waited for the plot to develop but instead it dissolved. The ending was pretty lackluster.

Historia
When Claire sees Hannah Wilson at an exclusive Manhattan hair salon, it's like a knife slicing through barely healed scars. It may have been 10 years since Claire last saw Hannah, but she has thought of her every day, and not in a good way. So Claire does what anyone would do in her position - she stalks her. Hannah is now Mrs. Carter, living the charmed life that should have been Claire's. It's the life Claire used to have before Hannah came along and took it all away from her.

Worst book I’ve read in years!
Revisado: 07-27-21
I’m about halfway through and I had to keep reminding myself that this was supposed to be a 24 year old girl, not a middle-aged woman. I wouldn’t call it a thriller of any kind, more like a whiney revenge book.
