awful narrator

Although I love and cherish the stories Louisa May Alcott wrote and had 15 hours of travel time to get through at least one of the four books in this collection, I stopped very very shortly into it. The narrator's accent and affectations are terribly off putting and don't fit the story well at all. It was truly disappointing because I wanted to listen with my children, who usually enjoy audible, but all of us agreed her accent was difficult to tolerate and at times hard to understand. A waste of credits.

I had heard of crystal healing all of my life but I assumed that it was quackery. A friend, who was a believer, asked me to take a look and find the scientific basis of crystal healing. My career has been in aerospace engineering so he thought I could surely find the scientific basis for something in which he so strongly believed. I found the possible scientific basis for crystal healing and I describe my research and finding in a step-by-step fashion in this book.

The narrator is quite dry and monotone, but the subject information does not lend itself to a lot of emotion. A lot of description is given to the pineal gland as the "third eye" but supporting statements are scant and don't carry much weight. Further and more in depth exploration of this topic in particular would have been appreciated. Likewise, further explanation of the electromagnetic vibration given off by energy matrices (both human and crystalline) would have added more depth to the studies described herein. This book was a good enough starting point. I look forward to a deeper study in the sequel.
