It was a VERY good book. I did find it somewhat difficult to track the time frame backwards. It did bring special concepts to light in a special way!

Historia
An intricate tale of love, haunting memories, and renewal, Second Glance begins in current-day Vermont, where an old man puts a piece of land up for sale and unintentionally raises protest from the local Abenaki Indian tribe, who insist it's a burial ground. When odd, supernatural events plague the town of Comtosook, a ghost hunter is hired by the developer to help convince the residents that there's nothing spiritual about the property.

Outstanding Premise!
Revisado: 02-05-25
I was not sure I could keep all the characters straight in the audible format but eventually pulled them together. This story was particularly heartbreaking as these eugenics methods did irreparable damage to native people throughout the world but even more so here in the United States. Just hearing it made my heart ache and I and my family did not have to live through it. The fact that we still have genocide today makes me wonder if there is indeed hope for our species. I did enjoy the interplay of the supernatural world connections snd how the story was tied up in the conclusion. I will read, listen and learn from every one of Jodi Picoult’s books!❣️

Historia
Christmas comes early—far too early—to McCredie’s little Old Town bookshop in Edinburgh. It’s summer, but an American production company has decided that McCredie’s is the perfect location to film a very cheesy Christmas movie. After all, who can resist the charmingly narrow historic street with its Victorian grey stone buildings and warmly lit shop windows? Carmen Hogan, the bookshop’s manager, is amused and a bit horrified by the goings-on, but the money the studio is paying is too good to pass up.

I was not immediately drawn into the story. I thought it was because it was sad. Then I realized the story was not sad at all, it was amazing. I must say I binge listened! I did the whole book over two days. It was a little bit magical, a little bit ecological and totally memorable! Get this book and for goodness sake share it with others!♥️
