I don’t get the hype.

I listen to a lot of audiobooks, like 3-4 a week and I picked this up because family and friends were saying how great it was. I don’t think I have ever given less stars to any other story. It was such a struggle to get through that I don’t even remember the characters names. When that happens to me it’s a sign that the author failed to get me invested. I

This story is predictable and not very original. Both of the authors have written great series separately but their work together seems to be just “meh”. Instead of cranking out stuff as fast as they can I wish they would take their time and create something great like they used too.

Lack of substance

This story unfortunately seemed to not have much of a story at all. It felt like there was a tiny bit of story there to just connect the bdsm scene. I don’t mind books like this at all, in fact I rather enjoy them, I just prefer more depth. Many times we got close to more depth only to stop an have another bdsm scene.

Good Story, Nor the Right Narrator

The was an enjoyable story is you like m/m book with a sports theme. When you invest so much into creating an audiobook for your story it is critical to pick the right narrator to voice the story. I love Tor Thom anytime he does a southern character, he has a great sound. In my opinion he just didn’t have the right voice or range for these characters and it took away from the story unfortunately. Sorry Tor!

Though this book has a lot of 🔥 scenes, the story of love that grows between the main characters is beautiful. The amazing narration by Michael Pauley/Dean brings Tad & Scott (along with many side characters who stores are told in spin-offs) to life. It takes an amazing book and makes it blazing!

Wonderful Ending

This was a great ending to this duology insofar as the story goes, but felt it really was unnecessary to put in a separate book. I love me some Nick J. Russo and I have many, many audiobooks of his, but it really bums me out when there is a narrator change from one book to the next. Regardless, the audiobook was great and I encourage buying it as you will enjoy it.
