Historia
Originally published in German as Wandlungen und Symbole der Libido, this is the book that set Carl Jung on his independent path as a psychoanalytic theorist and explorer of the mysterious world of the unconscious mind of the individual and the mythological mind of humanity. He bases his work on an exploration of Miss Frank Miller's Quelques Faits d'Imagination Creatrice, demonstrating complex connections between Miller's self-portrait of her own dreams and fantasies and the world of myth, symbol, and religion.

Only book I have returned
Revisado: 08-22-16
I guess I was expecting to learn about the unconscious. Instead this talks on about pedophilia, Negros and other "inferior" races, children equated with said inferior races, drawers as children of tables, nervous women having a predilection for caviar, etc. I also don't speak french, so the long french only sections were lacking meaning. Its easy to see the mindset that allowed eugenics and strength through joy to grow.

Historia
Dogen (1200-1253 C.E.) founded the Soto school of Zen Buddhism in Japan. His teachings are the very embodiment of the paradoxical blend of mystery and clarity that characterizes Zen. Dogen's approach to meditation has become perhaps the most influential Eastern spiritual practice in the Western world. The selections in this program are from Moon in a Dewdrop.

Not Review
Revisado: 05-27-15
Over 30 years ago, my very first introduction to anything buddhist was Dogen. I still have yet to barely scratch the surface. I have always liked the fact that, just when I thought I have understood something, reading further dismantles that.

Very Detailed
Revisado: 04-06-15
If you want a 10 minute "breath like this" instruction, this is not for you. Its very thorough and packed full of supporting info.
The other reviews made me hesitant, but I am very pleased I chose it. The order of the tracks seems fine now. As a long time armchair Buddhist, I heard many gems here I had never before.

Awesome book

Any additional comments?
The narration was very clear and well enunciated. The only minor flaw I found was the narrator is almost too emotionless. In a humorous way I sometimes felt like I was listening to a 60's CIA indoctrination speech. But that is just my personal thought; really it was well done.
