The drama made sense

Great story and reader. I love the idea of how divided a world is when only a few can read and write. The author brings it to life with a great cast. I also love the way relationships grow, not instantaneous. She has an amazing family that loves and supports each other.
Elena has much to learn about the world around her and to prove to her new peers that she deserves to learn. She's the first of her kind and the more she learns how to use it, the more potential there is for others wanting to use her. Enemies around every corner and some hidden in plain sight.
The Elena also doesn't fall into her loves arms in a heat of passion only to regret it later. The way she handled that impressed me and made go "Thank you!" common sense really is a thing.

I really liked the culture in this and how strong the women characters are. It's not just one story and I curious on weather it reference Cinderella mythos on purpose or if its one I haven't't heard of. I like how there are 2 villains in this story and neither of them are quite what you expect.
