I spent a great deal of time annoyed with the length of the recipes, the inner dialogue, and the repetitive use of “rational brain” and “ suspicious brain”.

I stopped listening to this series a few books ago because of the poor story lines and too many recipes. There are still too many recipes, and their placement in each chapter interferes with the flow of the book. The story has improved and I was happy with that.

What was most disappointing about Alice Sparberg Alexiou’s story?

The topic is very interesting. However, the author included a lot of suppositions about what people thought. It didn't come across as well researched.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator mispronounced foreign words and her timing was off.

What would have made Double Teamed on My Honeymoon better?

The sexual portions of the book were mere descriptions of what was happening. There was no mention of the emotional or physical reactions. The narrator's style was also clinical, lacking inflection. The sexual aspects of the book were said in the same tone as everything else. NOTE: I couldn't finish listening to the story.

Her delivery didn't change even when reading the sexual part of the book.

Great Book, Great Series

Would you listen to Backstage Pass again? Why?

I have already listened to this book several times. The characters and story line kept my interest.

Any additional comments?

Each book focuses on one member of the band and is told from that person's perspective. The books should be read in order as the books build upon each other and cover some previous story line but told from another character's perspective. By the end of the series, I felt that I really knew these people. For some unknown reason, books 1,2,3, and 5 are currently available. Book 4 has an August 2013 release date.
