This exceptionally well written and told story should be a must read/listen for ALL Americans.
As a naturalized citizen, I was always amazed that so many Americans were taken in by arguably the greatest conman this world has ever seen. But then again, I was raised in apartheid South Africa and immediately recognized the misinformation represented as news.
This book helps one understand how Fox so-call News fueled trump's incessant lies and has stoked the irreparable division in this country.

Clive is missed!

Clive's absence was obvious, but this was still a good effort to continue the saga. Perhaps one or two too many unbelievable scifi gadgets, though

Morris's greater role was an excellent addition. Glad he survived, however, he would have corrected a number of grammatical and pronunciation errors since speaks English, not American!

Overall, a pretty good story and a good listen.

I have revised the narrator's rating. A computer voice would have been better and would have pronounced words better. this idiot, for example, has no Idea how to pronounce Moet.

Lousy narrator

Complicated story line

Great story, ruined by last part

Good story inspite of the bullshit in the last part. Cussler was obviously a Confederate sympathizer and conspiracy theorist, as indicated about the comment about the moon landing.

Poor narration

You would think that a professional narrator would know - or find out - how to pronounce words and names, especially of foreign locations. J. Charles is mediocre at best and really detracted from an already so-so story.

Verbose!

I am not a fan of abridged novels, but this one certainly would have benefited by editing out 80% of the drivel! I mean, how important is it to get a step-by-step account of how Jack's breakfast is made - one cracked egg at a time?! If this was supposed to be a "thriller", then molasses in winter is swift running.

Great book - poor narration

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator needs to seek another line of work! His corny accents and voice characterization actually detracts from the story and the message. One has to consciously get past his lousy effort to get the value of the book.
