Historia
England, 1914. The world is at war. Captain Hastings, injured and shaken, is invited to Styles Court to recover. It’s a grand old country house - the family home of his old friend - and a perfect haven. Or so it seems. But in the blistering summer heat, trouble is afoot. Simmering tensions are tearing the family apart, and it all comes to a head in the most horrifying way.

Well done! The whole cast truly paid homage to Agatha Christie's masterpiece. Bravo! I hope they make this into a series of AC stories.

Cute story & quick listen
Revisado: 07-24-24
It was a breezy story to listen to. I wanted to take a break from the "heavy" stuff, and this fulfilled quite nicely.

The murder of a woman from one of the town's oldest families has Rosedale's upper crust howling for blood, and the prosecutor is counting on Ruby's inexperience to help him deliver a swift conviction. Ruby's client is a college football star who has returned home after a career-ending injury, and she is determined to build a defense that will stick. She finds help in unexpected quarters from Suzanne, a hard-charging attorney armed to the teeth, and Shorty, a diner cook who knows more than he lets on.

Good book
Revisado: 09-18-18
I listened to this book through Audibles during my commute to/from work. It was a good book but wasn't exactly up to the normal James Patterson flow I am used to. It was almost as if there were two books and the first ended swiftly and jumped into the next. The first story wasn't really necessary since it was not connected to the second in any way.

Not as good as the first book
Revisado: 07-23-18
I didn't think the writing was as good as the first book. The Audible version had too many different voices and were not the easiest to follow, IMO.

It's the phone call every parent dreads: in the middle of the night, Sandy Cline learns that her twenty-year-old son, Jordan, has been in a car accident. Her nephew, Travis, was also in the car, along with Travis's girlfriend. All three are alive - but barely. The car was smashed against a tree along a remote and winding road, beautiful but deadly, in their rural Texas Hill Country town.

Good story overall, the narration was flawless and on point. it was a little predictable, but not so much that I wanted to stop reading. I recommend this book and plan to listen/read the next one in the series.

Good storyline, ending was a bit predictive.
Revisado: 03-03-17
The narrator did a great job making each voice sound unique, this made the story easy to follow through her narration. Kendra Elliott has a way of getting the "love scenes" perfect and her stories are great, I just wish this one had a few twist and turns before the conclusion.

Had the potential to be so much more.
Revisado: 02-09-17
This was a dark story, but it's not so bad you feel compelled and grossed out to stop reading/listening. The story had many holes to it and it was very difficult to get into the male audible narration, each character he portrayed seem to have the same monotone emotion. the female narrator did a good job.
