Excellent, As Usual

I have purchased every book in the “Made Simple” series, and I’d highly recommend each one. At this point, if Praying Medic releases a book, I’m buying it no matter the subject.

Great Content, but…

The pacing is too fast. There’s no pause between the prayers/confessions. It makes it difficult to recite/repeat the prayers without pausing the audio every five seconds or slowing down the playback speed.

Brokenness is the Way

I enjoy Watchman Nee’s deep spiritual teachings. I didn’t agree with 100% of the statements made in this book (maybe 98%) haha, but the overall message is true!

Not a Smooth Listen

There was a lot of good info. However, I don’t feel I was given a definitive conclusion. The first part of the book felt largely unnecessary (to me). Finally, I didn’t love the narrator's accent but he did a great job.

Probably Better for Reading

I enjoyed the content of this book. Many books with a similar title only teach the basics of the prophetic, but this book has some gems I’ve never heard before.

My issue with the audiobook is that there appears to be a lot of repeated passages. I don’t believe this was intentional. There are about 1-2 hours of verbatim passages in the book. This means that instead of using a credit to purchase a six-hour book, I used a credit to buy a four-hour book, and that makes a difference to me.

The book is also thought provoking, and I think that makes it better for focused reading than passive listening.

Great Series

In the past week and a half, I have devoured 3 of the 5 Kingdom Made Simple audiobooks. Not only is the content great, but I enjoy Praying Medic’s writing style, which is not surprising since he’s been mentored by C.S. Lewis ;)

Frustrating

This audiobook takes too long to get to the meat. Not only is the narrator’s voice fairly boring, but the content of the opening credits section made me lose interest. I don’t want to skip ahead in fear of missing something important within the fluff, but I think I’m just going to watch a YouTube video that breaks down the content of this book in a fraction of the time.

The Holy Spirit Lead Me to This Book

Let me explain: when I was young (maybe around 15 years ago, give or take) I received a prophecy that I would see in the spirit realm. I was young and immature in spirit at the time so I didn't really meditate on it too much, but obviously, I remembered it. In February of this year (I am now 30), I received a prophecy that said I will come into the discerning of spirits. Being much more mature in the spirit, I began to research and study this. I started listening to this audio book this week and received a prophecy yesterday that said "I will become what is known as a 'seer'." Coincidence? I think not. I fully endorse and believe the content of this book, as I received multiple confirmations throughout my listening. The last chapter about restoring the gift of discerning of spirits to the church was especially inspiring, as keywords used in the chapter such as "forerunner" and "restoring seers to the church" are things I've heard in prophecies over myself. Praise God.

PUA meets Yogi

I listened to the sample audio and decided to check this book out; it wasn't exactly what I expected. There are definitely some good ideas and concepts, some good thought patterns to adopt, but it was a little too motivational speaker-esque for my tastes. There is actually a sort of guided meditation section at the end of the audio book lol.
