Very Interesting

Wow what a horrifying story. People being institutionalized for nothing. The children going to work houses even as infants. Then not being able to find her grave. All the families ancestors not being able to find info. This is a heartbreaking story but also of an incredible story of bringing mental health issues into the light. It’s not a sin to be depressed, have postpartum depression, or any other mental health issue. It’s important to know help is available and there is “no judgment “. If you or a loved one is suffering reach out help is there. God bless the families who can’t find their loved ones resting place.

Wow what a bulldog! I can’t believe what she had to go thru. I believe my brother was murdered but it was ruled a suicide. Thanx to this work I have an idea of what I should have asked. My mom is like her, she found out all kinds of stuff. Maybe I can get him exhumed and an autopsy done. They never did one. Definitely a good read. Lauren is a strong lady who took NO for an answer and implemented change for herself, her mom, her state and other people in need of help.

New Twist on Old Tales

Fun Adventure With Some Mystery

I really like the style Chaplains takes with this book. Th characters are well thought out. The story has so many twists and turns. It's an enjoyable piece of work.

Cool Story

I really liked it. The story is good. I like the different voice actors. The music adds a nice touch but is a bit too loud. I like the background sounds. It's adds to the story and makes it different from other audiobooks. I don't mind that it's short or that there is no backstory. Because if it happened today our past wouldn't be important. My only complaint is as an American I don't know some other the terminology used by the Brits.

I really love this story line. You can't help but root for the main character. I love the blend of the different species. The narration is fabulous I love her voice. Urban fantasy is a wonderful genre and it saves me from the day to day grind. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Rob Piest was a hero

There were a lot of serial killers around in the 70s. Heck I lived in the same neighborhood as one William Bonin in Downey Ca. My dad worked with one of the Toolbox Killers at Menasco Motor Company building aircraft engines in Burbank Ca. Cali was/is a mecca for serial killers. But we all knew who Ted Bundy and John Wayne Gacy were. Scary is scary no matter where you are. Because of Rob Piest many lives were saved.
Updates: In 2017 Jimmy Haakenson from Minnesota was IDed and this Oct 2021 Francis Wayne Alexander from NC was IDed. Mr. Alexander was IDed thru Genealogy. That leaves 5 left whom I hope get their name back soon. This was a very thorough book. It's hard to say you like a book with this subject matter but it was informative to me.
