Excellent story with believable characters. Well developed magic. A sense of good and evil as more than black and white.

The author’s use of minor cantrips during what is essentially a wizard battle demonstrates his mastery of the little details that make great fantasy real.

I’ve been listening to this genre of audiobook since I started my audible membership. This book (and hopefully this series) does not disappoint. Although the beginning might suggest it’s just another frozen virus exposed in Siberia zombie thriller, it’s far more than that.

By examining what a virus could damage to make someone behave like a zombie, the book’s author creates something believable. Loss of sense of self makes infection equal death on some level. While off of emotional response including to pain make the infected frightening. Swarm/pack behavior and out-group/in-group dynamics add a layer of philosophical depth.

Magnificent read.

True emotion set this book apart from so many other ZA ones. If you like Adrian’s Undead Diary, you’ll enjoy this book.

Mark Levin presents a call to action now rather than a warning. According to this book, the canary in the coal mine is already dead. The USA or those of us who love what we believe the USA aspires to be, the Home of Freedom, must act now. Levin examines how Marxists must be pushed back from academia and establishment media. He suggests ways we can fight for freedom against those who either actively pursue Marxism’s empty Utopian promises and those corporatists and technology oligarchs who imagine it’s better to join the Marxists than resist.

Recommended read for anyone prone to post vacation pictures to their social media. A case study of colonialism’s legacy: beautiful lands poorly governed visited by tourists escaping mundane lives.

Perhaps more now than ever, this book’s message is one readers in any civilized nation need to take to heart. State sanctioned terrorism is once again being depicted in the media as poor children being attacked by the militaries of ruthless nations. As most of us know, nothing is further from the truth.

One point of argument i have with Netanyahu’s recommended actions is that undermining the right to bear arms leaves a populace more at risk from terrorist attack than it would have otherwise been. We’ve all seen terrorists in London fought off by a hero with a narwhal tusk. We’ve heard of criminals defeated by a hero in Australia wielding a milk crate. Should civilized nations not allow their citizens to exercise self defense with something a little more purpose made?

As someone who has used online dating to find my significant other, I appreciate Tiffany Peon’s examination of the phenomenon. Without spoiling anything, I can say cost of the sites seems to parallel quality of the potential partners you meet on each. I recommend this book to anyone who has experienced the pitfalls and rewards or is considering braving the hazards of online dating.

Recently, I’ve taken to audible apocalypse-type books. Most are Zombie and/or Delta Force meets zombies. I appreciate Clay Martin including characters that aren’t 1 in a million operators who happen to bump into the 1 in a billion naturally immune messiah while finally finding the love of his or her life in the form of a tough-as-nails love interest who happens to have a 1 in a hundred useful skill set. It’s also refreshing to read a story in which characters die. Sacrifices feel real and weighty. Caution to those who require trigger warnings: Martin writes the first person perspective realistically including the protagonist’s prejudices.
