A great audiobook, left me really engaged with the characters, and wanting to know what happens next. Really loved Victoria Ortiz’ performance as well: each character really stood out thanks to her talents. Well done!

I discovered Diana West by chance on Youtube during an interview with Stephan Moleneux, and it was a delightful exchange, so I thought I'd look up her books. I have both on audio and I listened to this one first. Now, I am almost finished with "American Betrayal", and I must say that the material in the Red Thread makes a lot more sense as I get farther and farther into the earlier work. "Red Thread" is easily understood without the background, but to shamelessly jump on the analogy bandwagon here, the Trump "blanket" turns into a complicated "tapestry" as you go farther back in time. The most impressive and intriguing aspect of both of these books is the volume of material! Just the volume alone, the references, the incredible detail of events long forgotten, is worth the read. Anyone wanting more information about the topic should get a pen and paper ready as you listen (or as you read) and follow the same literary path that Diana West has here: just fascinating, terrifying, and a very large sense of relief: that someone is "doing the work" of trying to map out the past, to see the threads of influence in our country. One of the first books I read was J. Edgar Hoover's book "Masters of Deceit", and then, in 2007, Paul Kengor's excellent book "Dupes: How America's Adversaries Have Manipulated Progressives for a Century".
I would highly recommend both of Diana West's book and I will be picking up "death of the grown up" as well. There's a whole lot to unpack in "Threads" and "Betrayal". Looking forward to it.

Should be required reading in High School

Easily one of the best books on Communism out there, if the intent is to introduce people who don't know anything about it. Young people are not taught this at all. This is why people like the young lunatic that just attacked innocent kids at a Florida High School wear communist shirts idolizing these lunatic terrorists from the past.
This is one of the those books that is sort of a "launching pad". The chapters allow you to start looking at other resources, other ideas, and you start to see how this has all been tied together in the last 100 years in this country.
The book attempts to explain how.. in a country so successful as the United States.. millions of young people could vote for an avowed Socialist (Bernie Sanders) who proudly displays a USSR flag in his office spaces.
When a sitting Senator from Vermont, puts up a USSR flag in his office, and you understand that that symbol represents a system that murdered more people than the Nazis.. by a factor of at least 3, maybe 4... it is an indicator that there is a serious problem in our education system with regards to the history of Communism.
Every single American who votes should read this book.

Collectivism Never Dies!

Dinesh D'Souza's book is one of many that continue to document this fact: that collectivism just "shape shifts" from one generation to the next. As soon as "communism" fell out of favor, they just changed their name.. "Social Justice", "Liberation Theology", "Progressiveness", "Cultural Marxism".. they are all one in the same. The end state is one in the same: use the good will, and the good nature, of human beings, to get the government to legally steal from someone and give it to another.
The more this issue is given serious study, the more this immovable, unchangeable fact becomes more evident as the years go by.
- As the progressive thugs destroy our streets, attack Trump supporters.
- As the media continues to "double down" on their worldview, to the point of absurdity now (This review was written in Feb 2018, as the mainstream media literally supports North Korean terror, just to get in a jab at Trump).
- As people in the scientific community try to get the Center for Disease and Control (CDC) to view "gun violence" as a disease..
- The political Left in this country.. has never, ever changed.
From the times of Robespierre, Jean Jacques Rousseau and the Marquis De Sade, the left continues to push an agenda of hedonism, envy, class hatred, victimization, and division.. all wrapped up in a sickly sweet packaging called "Social Justice" and all the other buzzwords that the old Commissars of the Soviet Union would be proud of.

Buy the version with Coulter as the narrator.
Then buy the book to do the research.
Then listen to this a few times when you're in the car ( I listened to it 3 times).
Yeah....despite the imperfections of her book (what book is perfect? In what alternate reality do critics live in? ) she's right on target. Don't expect this one to be in the OWS library...
I only wish she didn't name it "Demonic". Scared the less hardy souls among us away...and they need to hear some of the points she's making...
