Amazing research went into writing this book if you’re a fan of reading books about the mafia you’re gonna love this one. Well at times it’s overage from the main topic, it’s still entertaining all the way through. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Lief and Eric what a great combination
Revisado: 11-10-23
If you are a mountain, climber or avid outdoorsman, who has. ever dreamt about Everest. This book will fascinate you. Using the terms and describing scenes that only a completely immersed climber can do, Lief has taken me on Everest once again.
Big Jim, his dad, and I are almost identical in build. So I was able to identify with the trials and travails of being 6 foot five in the mountains.
He more than adequately represents the pain and suffering involved in high altitude climbing.
The book is filled with a little nuggets of great knowledge of the Alpine environment. Extremely well written, and easy to follow. I highly recommend this for a very entertaining read!

James is so talented and so honest when discussing the travails of his life and his family. I know two of the trailers Katie and Liv Having met them at McClean hospital in Belmont Massachusetts. As a professional musician, I am constantly amazed with the musicality of James Taylor, but I don’t mean to subtle passing chords the beautiful augmented cords he uses. He is truly one of the all-time great guitar players.

And other times, I just got disgusted. But most of all it pulled on my heartstrings when I had to face the new human condition as portrayed in the book.

Cap is a marvelous writer. He never gets his characters to inter twined or confusing to the reader.
Of all the authors, I find him the easiest to listen to. I literally stay on for hours. It’s interfering with my sleep I love is complex simplicity he describes his battle scenes without making it impossible or confusing. if Cap were a chef, he would be known for his elegant simplicity, and presenting his creations. Thanks again and what wonderful narration.

Historia
In the early 18th century, the Pirate Republic was home to some of the great pirate captains, including Blackbeard, "Black Sam" Bellamy, and Charles Vane. Along with their fellow pirates - former sailors, indentured servants, and runaway slaves - this "Flying Gang" established a crude but distinctive democracy in the Bahamas, carving out their own zone of freedom in which servants were free, Blacks could be equal citizens, and leaders were chosen or deposed by a vote.

Incredibly, entertaining written by a scholar.
Revisado: 10-10-23
If you want to be transported back to the early 1700s, this is a wonderful mechanism for getting back to the ocean back in those days. His research must’ve been exhausting. The level of detail he was able to dig up that long ago was impressive a time, so I just could not put this book down. He really captured the barbaric approach to life so prevalent back then. His attention to detail added to the entertaining descriptions.
It makes me glad that I’m alive. No I’m not back then.
