Historia
In his first book since the best-selling Fermat's Enigma, Simon Singh offers the first sweeping history of encryption, tracing its evolution and revealing the dramatic effects codes have had on wars, nations, and individual lives. From Mary, Queen of Scots, trapped by her own code, to the Navajo Code Talkers who helped the Allies win World War II, to the incredible (and incredibly simple) logistical breakthrough that made internet commerce secure, The Code Book tells the story of the most powerful intellectual weapon ever known: secrecy.

huge concepts explained accessibly to any enthusiast
Revisado: 02-01-25
I really really loved this book and how it explained the innerworkings of the developments in cryptography without going overboard in details of math. The narrator did a good job in tone and I just appreciated every chapter.

Historia
Winnie the Pooh, the fictional teddy bear created by English author A. A. Milne, is one of the most popular characters adapted for film and television by The Walt Disney Company. Disney first received certain licensing rights to the Winnie the Pooh stories, characters, and trademarks from Stephen Slesinger, Inc. and the estate of A. A. Milne in 1961. All Rights are Reserved to the Holders. This one is a little shorter but also plays with character voices...so a bit of an experiment. Can't sleep? Let the dulcet voice of Erik Braa reading the classics take over for jumping sheep. These tales, ...

Perfect Winnie the Pooh Voice!
Revisado: 09-02-24
Winnie the Pooh is my favorite childhood story but not every narrator (or at least the other guy(s) on audibles catelogue) gets the voices right. Erik gets each character PERFECT. this episode will remain downloaded on my phone as a go to before bed from now on

excellent!!
Revisado: 09-02-24
Erik Braa's voice is awesome, but I wish I could turn up the volume a bit bc its sometimes hard to hear towards the end of the episodes bc I use a fan and his deep voice blends in. I hope Erik reads more classic stories!!

Annoying "interruptions" ruin it
Revisado: 08-29-23
The content is very interesting which sucks because the narration is unbearable. I had to give up. The tone and staged sass is just too cringy I can't take it. No book should have this many asides. It's like a scripted podcast between the couple. No thanks.
