Totally a five star story!! I docked the stars to 4 for male narrator, he’s just a bit too much for me.

I’m not sure if it’s been my first listen in awhile, maybe Zachary Webber, but it was just five star for me. The speed of the story, the right amount of suspense and a hero that you just want to wrap your arms around forever. This was a great story and I’ll spend the credit for the next one. 😉

I’m not sure if it was the narration, the story, or both, but this was a struggle to get through. I loved the first two books in this series. Logan’s story had promise, but it just was too drawn out. I feel like we listened to hours of “woe is me, we were so in love, I am so hurt, how can I ever forgive him” instead of having an actual story.

Erin Mallon just wasn’t the right person for this book. Her male voice is too raspy and whispery for Logan’s character and didn’t fit the playful personality he displayed in the other two books. I think she would have done better reading Trent’s part.

Zachary Webber did great. He can be playful and serious, so no complaints for his role, other than the whiny text he had to read.

All in all I felt like this was an obligatory book since Logan was one of the brothers, but his story could have been condensed down into 1/2 the time.

I generally love Rina Kent, and I’ve listened to every one of her books, but this one was a struggle.

I’m not sure if it was harder to listen to this because I’ve read the entire Royal Elite series or if it would have been better without the back story. I spent more time looking at the family tree trying to remember who belongs to what family, and the stories of their parents. I feel like a lot of the story was around this person’s cousin/sibling etc. The girls in this story were annoying. I get they are college aged, but ughh, it was just too much. The chapters from their parent’s perspectives were just weird. The story lacked plot and was 15 hrs of reading about their family tree and setting up story lines for the rest of the series.

The narration was all wrong in this book. The voice of Glyndon was so immature and slow. It was the first book I’ve read at a faster speed. Sebastian York is generally great, but who casts him for the role of a 19 year old? It just doesn’t fit. Aaron Shedlock as Levi is just a no too.

I’ll still listen to all the other books and am already praying the next one is better. 🤞🏻

I’ll start by saying I really enjoyed this trilogy. Book 2 was by far my favorite, but I really enjoyed some of the things I learned about Tobias and Cecelia in this book.

This book had more humor and showed that Tobias had emotions outside of being a big jerk and some of the reasons why he did what he did. It backfilled a lot of the story and helped everything tie together.

Joe Arden did a great job of narrating the different male characters especially given the French accent!
His ability to maintain consistency and convey the emotion of Tobias was no easy task and he was perfect.

The cons, the middle got a little long for me and I felt like Tobias was constantly “inhaling to take in her scent” every other sentence for awhile. I get it, he loved her, but some different words could have been used or just edited out.

Overall a must read trilogy and one I could see myself listening to a second time. 🙌. Enjoy!

So, so, so good. Maxine Mitchell is AMAZING! She delivers all the feels. Angst rage and heartbreak, I was in tears more than once. Bravo to Kate Stewart for such a twisted tale of lies and deceit. All the positive reviews you read for this series are true, it’s a must listen.

Oh how I loved Daniel and Nicole’s story. It wasn’t anything I expected either. After Empire of Sin, I really expected to laugh out loud from Daniel’s cheeky personality, but the angst and misunderstanding between the two of them was heartbreaking. I really enjoyed the development of these two characters and how past stories intertwined to make them who they are today. I also have to put in my review that I was thrilled that Kyle made an appearance. He is one of my favorite Rina Kent characters!

Thank the Gods that Shane East finally returned to narrate, I’ve missed him terribly in Rina’s last few books. Christy Woods was new to me and she was also wonderful.

Another great addition to Rina Kent’s collection. She truly is a romance genius!

Vi and Penelope have to be my favorite writing duo. Their stories always guarantee to give you all the feels. This one was no exception.

Generally speaking I don’t love the sporting stories, but the sport took the back seat in this book and only created distance for Presley and Levi, which always makes the heart grow fonder. ❤️

Narration was perfect. Andi Arndt seriously is the best female narrator. I love her accents, her male voice and everything in between. Sebastian York never disappoints either.

A great addition to the Audible Plus catalog. 🙌

I’m a huge Rina Kent fan, and have listened to all her books. Empire of Sin does not disappoint. The way she intertwines her characters is brilliant. Each new story teaches you more about their pasts and what makes them tick. I love that her characters have dark sides, and her possessive alpha males are to die for. 😍.

I’d recommend reading Rina’s Royal Elite series first for the full dive into this group of characters, but it isn’t necessary. Rina does a great job of backfilling the relationships to give the reader enough context, but I think it’s more meaningful if you’ve read all of those stories first.

Vanessa Edwin has the best female/male accents. She goes between British and Russian with ease and could have easily been the only narrator of this book. John Hartley is new for me. I’m not 100% sure how I feel about him. He’s definitely got the angry thing going for him, but it seemed a little over the top at times.

This book is so worth the listen, put it at the top of your list!

I’m not overly happy this trilogy cost me two credits. Thankfully I got book one in a $5 sale. The story could have easily been two books instead of three. Book 1 and 3 were too wordy and slow moving. There were parts that had good action and suspense, but there was so much filler in between that I lost interest.

I appreciated Violeta’s growth through the story as a “strong woman”, but it was a bit far fetched in the short time span the book covers. She also gives up everything she was working towards which somewhat contradicts the “girl power” mantra the author seemed to want to convey.

Narration was ok. Emma was a bit whispery and whiny at times, but I loved her male Italian voice and her voice for Gia’s character. Antonio had great Italian and was good overall, but sometimes it sounded like he had a mouthful of saliva and needed to swallow it. 🤷‍♀️

Am I sorry I listened? No, not really, but I wish I would have picked other items on my wishlist first. I guess that’s what happens when the $5 sale lures you in with the first book. 😔
