Historia
Charles Preston Carmichael is the most infuriating man I've ever met. I want to sock the golden boy of college hockey right in the mouth. He enjoys telling me everything I'm messing up—publicly. And since he's my roommate for the next year, I can't avoid him. Yet there's something about him that makes me watch him. Something dark. A secret I want to uncover. When he returns from a weekend away, broken and haunted, I can't keep my distance anymore. He needs someone, and I'll be damned if it's not me.

absolutely love!
Revisado: 04-22-25
I absolutely love this book. this is the 4th time I've listen to this book. not only do i love the book but it also has 2 of my favorite narrator's that make this even better. I also like that they have the narrator's for the right character. if it was backwards like I've come across in other books it feels weird because the voice doesn't fit the character. some people might not like the way these characters are but I love these 2. I'mjust sorry what he had to go through with his "father". there's only ONE thing I don't like with this book & it's his sister. I wasn't happy with her the first time I read it cause it was new but listening to it again I absolutely disliked his sister. the way she acted & not listening knowing hes having a hard time after finding out what her brother went through was a huge disappointment. just glad she wasn't in the book alot. other then her little part I loved this book.

was good until the last half
Revisado: 12-14-24
I really did enjoy this book more the first time then the second time. don't think I'll come back like I do the other books. it mainly started when the mom talk to tanner. yes it was his boyfriend's mom but he just sat there & listened to his boyfriend's mom belittle him & did nothing but say I do care for hihim & tell her that he loves him but did tell his own boyfriend first. didn't even a little stick up for him. then to top it off he kept it from him. it should of told him but what got me to really dislike this even more he faked about not knowing what his mom said later on & lied to him a second time. it's not what his mom or him saying, it's the fact he sat there & listen to his boyfriend being shit talked by his own mom & said nothing & then never said anything & lied twice to his face. he already new his boyfriend is having a hard time with his boyfriend in his head for what he was saying but to listen to similar of his mom's saying the same & do nothing is messed up.

loved it all except orlith.. that was disappointing.
Revisado: 10-17-24
I really loved this book until it got to orlith? really sad they didn't have one with seraph. love wyn & Danny the most which is why I probably really hated the part I dislike. this book is worth listening to. but If I ever relist to it like I do with the others I will be skipping over the part I dislike. to understand why I really hate it is because who wants to hear about wyn hooking up with a past lover even tho it was in the past? as much as you say it's the past it doesn't feel like it when you just got done listening to a part where danny & wyn are together. also us readers really get into the book & see them as really people almost while reading specially when we really like certain characters. why would we want to here about past hook ups? it's like why would Danny want to hear about wyns past which would mean why would we want to? I would of let it past if the author kept wyn denying him when he kept trying but the writer made him give into sleeping with him again. again the author had mentioned it was in the past but again it doesn't feel like it when we just listen to Danny. I just don't see why that part was put in here. if you really wanted orlith in it then it would of bee. Just fine when he tried the one time trying to get with wyn & when he was talking with his brother but to have them have a sex seen is messed up. I'm glad that part was a huge part of this book. I would of gave this a full 5 stars but that part really got to me. why do you want to hear about a loveable characters & the past hook up? it wasn't even necessary to put it into the book. there are so many other characters that could of taken that part to make the story longer I'd that was the case. sorry I kept going on about it but I get so into books it's like I feel bad for Danny. if the author wanted someone to have a past hook up it should of been someone else. specially not with a partner that was a virgin. I hated that on the wyn book. Danny only being with wyn & then to meet his hook up? why not make someone else with a hook up that both partners weren't a virgin like edin & his partner? I will relisten to this book but will skip over some parts....

Historia
After giving twelve years of my life to the service, I didn't just lose my leg. I lost everything, including my career. When the dust settled, the only person still standing by my side in the rubble was Brandt—the single lifeline I had left to a world I didn't want to live in anymore. With painstaking care, he healed my body and my mind. When he eventually started healing my heart, I realized I didn't just need him in my life, I needed him in ways I'd never wanted him before.

absolutely loved this book. it's obviously about military but trying to live after. I'm sure there are those that will complain about something with something not correct like they do for all military stories but it's still very emotional & beautiful story. so much support that so much of us need. so much live that so much of us need. I laughed, cried, & just couldn't stop listening which really messed with my sleep. can not wait for the next book. that's the only issue I have is finding this book before the next books were released. worth the credit or money.

Is there such thing as love at first bar fight? I may be small and pretty, but what I lack in intimidation factor, I make up for in violence. I made a vow five years ago that the motorcycle club responsible for my brother’s death would pay the price, and I’m finally ready to collect. May God have mercy on the men who hurt my brother, because I don’t plan to.

hated the fmc!
Revisado: 05-13-24
I really disliked the chick specially when she only stated caring about what she wanted & didn't care once when she put others in danger and didn't even care when it was pointed out. she even gave 1 of her "toys" the child shoulder for pointing it out like it was his fault. & he just took it. at first I did like listening to this writers books but I noticed that the writer makes all the fmc do something really damn stupid. & the men just think with there pants. I don't know how other readers don't see that about this fmc on how sailfish she is & doesn't feel sorry for it. I have less then an hour & half left of this book & I just can't finish it. I tired 3 different times but I truly can't stand her. this last time I tried, she's trying to get another person she wants in her pants to also help her out to get what she wants. I get this writer wants to make the story interesting but it could of happen where the fmc wasn't shown as really damn selfish to do it. &then very childish when she didn't get her way.

The world sees me as boring, dependable David. And I like it that way. I know things and I'm organized. Plus, I've seen firsthand the harm a chaotic life can inflict, and I'd rather have my lists and be called dull. Which is what makes it all the more disconcerting when a sexy elf declares his adoration and begins to "woo" me. What am I supposed to do?

Revisado: 05-07-24
David is just stupid & he knew it but still did it. even with his background of his being that way was a stupid excuse. yes it ended it good for them at the end but didn't make it right. the person that loved him didn't even know better. when they finally do become a item finally and having a very serious conversation he takes it as giving "head" would be a good idea. this was just disappointing...

Historia
I first saw the Folk when I was a little boy, when they started appearing in my garden, with their unnatural, cruel beauty and honeyed words and veiled taunts. I grew up with big green eyes watching me from the forest. Whispers from the trees. Shimmering skin darting between the bushes. Black creatures always lurking in the shadows. While they were here, I thought nothing of them. It wasn’t until they were gone that I realise it wasn’t…normal. But it isn’t until I’m twenty-one, when my life is in ruins, that they come back to take me away.

good...
Revisado: 05-01-24
it was good but could of been better. I really dislike single pov's when there's more then 1 main character. it feels like half the story was missing. nonstop I kept thinking what the other character was thinking. I also think the character should of been a little smarter. other then that it was a good book. I want to give a lower rate because again I feel like half the story is missing. because of this I don't really want to listen to the second book.

I swear I was only looking for a roommate. Just someone to watch TV and eat dinner with. Nothing… romantic. No way. But when I see all these humans gazing at me with open adoration and blatant lust and other things that make me wildly uncomfortable, I realize what a terrible mistake this is. Until I spot the one human woman in the group who is definitely not pleased to see me. In fact, she's scowling at me. She looks really, really annoyed. I'm kind of into it.

absolutely loved greed
Revisado: 04-16-24
greed is what made this book a million times better. she wasn't bad either but I just loved greed. funny & sweet as hell. again smart I also loved about about this book was the dual pov. reading all those other monster books like "soul eater" we all 1 sided pov except for the very recent one that had dual pov. I really disliked 1 sided pov that had 2 main characters. it feels like missing half the book with only 1 side. all though they were 1 sided I did still like them. the ones that had virgins in them really disappointed me. some are just not believable specially the last one. over a 1000 year old virgin? come on. the first book was in is 20s. moth I kinda understand. anyways I got off topic. this book a worth the read if your OK with kink. I will definitely come back and relisten like I do to all the books I love. it's worth relisten to when the time comes.

so hard to finish
Revisado: 04-09-24
it could of been a damn great book but wow I extremely hate the female! she's weak. she acts dumb compared to the dustwalker. at times all she needed to do was open her mouth. I wish exaggerating how bad she is but I'm not the only one to think so. she's a very selfish human. it's always "me, me, me" with her. how weak she was with her own child after it was born & then to make it worst she couldn't even watch over her child when the demon prince came along while the dustwalker was trying to protect them all. she had 1 damn job but again all she thought was about herself & hiding behind the dustwalker while not even watching her own child. I literally had to pause the book multiple times & read something else because she was getting in my last nerve but when she couldn't even keep an eye on her own kid while the dad protected them & she just hid behind him instead, I had to stop listening I was going to toss my phone. I absolutely loved the dustwalker for not once he did anything wrong. even the couple from the first book that showed up in this book. it's the fmc that ruined this whole book for me. if she wasn't weak, pathetic, & selfish this book would of been 5 stars. she was that bad that I wanted to only give 2 stars but I loved the story it could of been & the dustwalker. I think the book shouldn't cost at all what it costs. I want my money back. I'm so sad because I loved the dustwalker but think he deserved way better then what he good. I still have just under 2 hours left if I do plan to finish & she's still a damn weak & selfish person. she might of fell in love with the child but it still didn't stop her from being weak & selfish making sure she stay hidden while she forgot about her child. the writer really failed at that part. she was kinda brave chasing after the child & then not while the demons came. I know I'm repeating myself but she failed that child of hers once after birth, again after the dad would try to let it be with her when she slept & again with the demons. the was my last I could continue listening. I just can't.
