Intricate story, solid romance and decent murder mystery! Characters were clear and believable. I keep thinking that one day I will pick up a Nora Roberts book that I won't like - but it hasn't happened yet.

Once again Karen White delivered a good story, based in a clearly described Southern setting with characters that came to life.

Another fascinating story from Beth Hoffman!
Revisado: 06-10-13
As much as I enjoyed Beth Hoffman's "Saving CeeCee Honeycutt" I think I enjoyed her newest book "Looking For Me" even more. Ms. Hoffman does a great job conveying real Southern scenery & portrays truly charming Southern characters.
"Looking for Me" has a believable yet somewhat mystical story line that had me wanting to drive for just a little a while longer each day (in addition to my normally heinous daily commute to work) in order to hear just a little more of Teddy's story.
I do hope to read many, many more Beth Hoffman novels in the future.

Scott Brick always does a superb job of narration - you truly forget that you are listening to a narrator and not to individual voices. Gregg Hurwitz always provides a phenomenal story with twists & turns that are believeable and scary at the same time. Read more/listen to more Hurwitz - you will not be disappointed!

Another fine story from Nora Roberts!
Revisado: 09-27-12
What did you like best about this story?
The pure imagination it must have taken to come up with this plot & storyline. This is old school Nora Roberts - at her absolute best.
What about Julia Whelan’s performance did you like?
That her transition from male to female voices becomes invisible - you don't realize when she is making the voice changes because she is so good at distinguishing between the characters.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Absolutely - but I listen to audiobooks while commuting - so there is a pretty fixed amount of time I listen to audiobooks each week (but liek with this book - I find myself wanting to sit in the car until some "good part" of the book is finishing up before I turn it off!
Any additional comments?
Loved it! Love her more "romance novel" type books as well, but this book had a great plot, wonderful characterizations and lots of details that made you feel like you in the middle of that small Arkansas town - standing right next to the main characters.

What did you love best about The Shoemaker's Wife?
Knowing that this is loosely based on her grandparents early lives makes this sotry all the more real.
Which character ??? as performed by Annabella Sciorra and Adriana Trigiani ??? was your favorite?
I loved how the nuns' early influence was recalled throughout the character's lives.
Who was the most memorable character of The Shoemaker's Wife and why?
All of the characters were solid and yet expansive - ever growing over time.
Any additional comments?
I love all of Adriana Trigiani's books - from Lucia, Lucia to Brava, Valentina - I will snap a new one up as soon as I see it published - do not even have to read a synopsis because I know I will enjoy each and every word.

What did you love best about You're Next?
Stayed on the edge of my seat througout. Would never have guessed who was after this man or his daughter or why.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Shep - the safe cracker - whose motto of "the only things that matter in life are stamina & loyalty".
What does Scott Brick bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?
I think Scott Brick could read me the back of a cereal box and I would stay interested!
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
A strong case for the fact that life does not necessarily have to "repeat itself"!
