As I began to listen I was drawn in by the storyline and characters. It was wonderful and met the high standards to which I hold these writers, however the way that the main situation was resolved felt very contrived, predictable and childish. I’m pretty sure phones were invented at the time the “crisis” took place.

I had to stop listening because the end was so disappointing in my opinion. Finally, three weeks later I have now finished the book.

The story IS good. For me, the ending lacked believability.

What did you like best about Roomies? What did you like least?

This story was really tough to get into. I started it right after I purchased it, but it took me about a month to actually get interested enough to go back and listen to the whole book.

Calvin was an interesting character. I like the setting in NYC.

Would you recommend Roomies to your friends? Why or why not?

No, I don’t think so.

How could the performance have been better?

The voice of Calvin was spot on- he’s Irish and thus has an Irish accent. Unfortunately, the narrator wasn’t able to lose the Irish accent for the rest of the characters, so it was very odd.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

More sizzle.

I really enjoy Kylie Scott's books, however, I'm on chapter 8 and I'm still waiting for this story to move along.

The characters are likeable, good dialogue, but it needs to move along already. Zzzzzzzzzz....

Here's hoping it will perk up soon. If not, I'm going to need some caffeine.

I was encouraged by all the five star reviews, but when I actually started listening I was very disappointed.

I felt the story was predictable, far fetched and, well, gross. I realize this is fiction, but I couldn't get past the fact that Luke was Sophie's gynecologist.

Plus, her reason for leaving her college boyfriend was lame if you consider that she was willing to have a sexual relationship with her doctor!

I wanted to like it. The dirty talk didn't bother me. The age difference between the main characters was fine too. I simply don't understand why everyone thought this story was so awesome.

I tend to not care for college-age stories because the characters and storylines are too immature for my taste.

The narration was good.

Would you listen to Cowboy Take Me Away again? Why?

Yes. The story is captivating and I enjoy Susan Bennett's voice as narrator.

What other book might you compare Cowboy Take Me Away to and why?

I compare this book to one of Rachel Gibson's. Believeable characters and story line that evokes emotion.

Which scene was your favorite?

It was a flashback to the past and that described a key moment in Luke and Shannon's friendship.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Not sure about a tag line. I felt the title of this book didn't fit the story. It works, but to me, I'd have titled it something about cowboys and going for the ride of your life.

Any additional comments?

Really, really enjoyed this book and this writer's style. I actually read her second book first and fell in love with that one too.

Awesome. Funny. Hot. Believable. Smart.

Check back in with beautiful residents of NYC. You won't regret it.

My only complaint: too short. : )

A bit disappointing after the first three books in this series. Slow to start.

The best way I can describe it to say that with the first three books, I devoured them. This one was a take it or leave it feeling. It wasn't bad: just lacking.

Narrators were both excellent.

I like Kristen Ashley's writing. This storyline was good. The narration ruined it for me. Her voice was fine as the main character. All the other voices grated on my nerves. I had to stop listening. A month later I listen to the last hour just to hear the end of the story.

I'm so glad it's over. Unfortunately this will be the only book I listen to in the Magdalene series.

What would have made Breathe with Me better?

Characters who were developed. A believable story line.

What could Kristen Proby have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Don't focus on what the character looks like, but rather their personality and actions.

How could the performance have been better?

I could not get over how the female narrator as Mark sounded like a 12 year old boy. It was creepy.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It's not the worst book I've listened to.

Any additional comments?

I didn't realize that this was book 7 in a series. To me when an author has 7 books in a series it's not about the story, it's about making a profit and using the same formula for every book. There are different names and places but that's it. When the main characters went to a party the author had to describe the entire "family tree" of who was who, who they married and what babies went with which couple. All were young, beautiful and successful. Booooooring! And, of course the party was like a convention of beautiful people. No zits or stomach pooches were present. Boring!

Would you consider the audio edition of Unbelonging to be better than the print version?

Haven't read the print version. I listen to audiobooks because the narrator adds so much to (or detracts from) the audiobook experience.

What did you like best about this story?

Finally a "different"story! The main characters DON'T fall in love in a week. The secondary characters are well developed and they have substance. Other than Laughton (sp?) there isn't such a huge focus on everyone's perfect body. It fits the story that he would have a great body because he is famous. It's about who the characters are and not just what they look like. I prefer a steamier read and the use of anatomical terms, but this one was okay without the graphic descriptions. Euphemisms kind of drive me crazy. Let's call a spade, a spade or in this case let's call a vagina, a vagina.

What about Erin Mallon’s performance did you like?

Nice tone to her voice. It was pretty easy to distinguish the different characters from each other with a few exceptions.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Unbelonging: in secrets lie the truth (pun intended)

Any additional comments?

This is the first book I've listened to in over a year that I actually am anxious to find out what happens next.
