Great storytelling

Thea Harrison has developed a wonderfully complex and engaging universe, of which these 3 stories are only a part. I’d already read all the Dragos stories and there was quite a bit of time before I started this set, but I was able to pick back up quickly. I love that the women are strong, independent, intelligent and talented individuals who hold their own with their male counterparts. All 3 of the stories in this set were wonderful on their own. I enjoyed waiting and listening to the set back to back as it was easy to see how they tied together.

Excellent addition to a favorite series

This story features the relationship between Ivy Jane, a high level empath, and the Arrow Vasic as they take on the battle with the sickness engulfing the PsyNet. Excellent!

Not worth a credit

Aside from all the religious references, which are not my cup of tea, I just thought these two stories were poorly written and completely unrealistic.

Waste of time and money

I stuck it out to chapter 3 but couldn’t take any more of this poorly written nonsense with a totally unlikeable female character. I made the mistake of downloading 3 books in the series. I’m deleting this one. I’ll try the next one but if it starts out as badly written as this one I’ll dump all 3 and put this author on my “avoid at all cost” list. If there were negative stars, this book would qualify.

Don't waste your time or money

This book was so pointless I decided not to waste my time finishing it. I tried to return it but apparently I didn't use a credit to buy it so I couldn't. I've read several books that discuss how, in some Asian culture, single women are essentially badgered into marrying and producing children. This is the story of a 30+ female lawyer with an apparently successful career, who discusses through her diary entries how her family berates her for being single. She also discusses various outings with friends, dates, clothing, competition at work, etc. It's all very shallow and annoying. There wasn't a single character in the story (or at least as far as I got in the story) who I even remotely liked. It was all one upsmanship, perceived status, and nastiness. If I could have given it 0 stars I would have.

My least favorite of the series

I am a huge Nalini Singh fan. She’s one of the authors I preorder in audio automatically. However this story just dragged for me. Although some mysteries are revealed, like Naasir’s origin, that didn’t balance out the constant arguing between Alexander and Zanaya (followed by intense sex), or the tedious recounting of ancient history. I have liked most of this series, but this book was a disappointment for me. In contrast, Nalini’s Psy/Changeling Trinity series is always tops on my favorites list. Can’t wait for the next one in that series!

I have many of the Jane Yellowrock stories on audio so I delayed buying this, thinking it would mostly be duplicates. To my surprise and pleasure it was almost all material that was new to me. So glad I purchased this as I wait for Final Heir to be released in audio.

Basically I enjoyed these stories in the order they appeared. Loved Nalini Singh’s, really enjoyed Andrew’s and will now read more of her work, enjoyed Shearin’s and will likely read more of her work, and didn’t much enjoy Vane’s story.

Sex overcomes sense

This is my least favorite book in this series, primarily because the female lead continually has reason to back away from the male lead, but caves as soon as he touches her. He gets immersed in work and is too inconsiderate to call her, and stands her up. She gets justifiably mad, but he barely says “Oops, sorry “ and she falls into his arms. I want her to hold him accountable, but she never does. I found it very irritating.
