Historia
As the head of a prestigious movie studio for nearly two decades, Andy Westfield has had every conceivable professional luxury: a stunning office on the forty-fourth floor, a loyal assistant who can all but read his mind, access to a private jet and company cars. The son of Hollywood royalty, Andy always put his career before his marriage, and now, besides his daughter and young grandchildren, it’s the only thing he truly loves. But then Andy’s world is upended. The studio is sold, and the buyer’s son demands the top seat. Out of a job and humiliated, Andy spirals.

the narrator did well with the material that was there 4 hours in and the style was still like an intro, never got better.

Historia
Decades before the American Revolution, Benjamin Franklin lamented that English settlers were constantly fleeing over to the Indians - but Indians almost never did the same. Tribal society has been exerting an almost gravitational pull on Westerners for hundreds of years, and the reason lies deep in our evolutionary past as a communal species. The most recent example of that attraction is combat veterans who come home to find themselves missing the incredibly intimate bonds of platoon life.

Gratitude & Resolve are the emotions left by this book.
Resolve to be more human and more connected to my community;
Gratitude for the life experience, scholarship & heart that resulted in this work. No one escapes trauma but this book paints a large arrow to help each of us see where we can begin making our community into a tribe that can nurture us all.

Rare & Beautiful
Revisado: 12-01-23
Let me be a good neighbor... that's the resolve that this story has left in my heart. It was a wonderful surprise to hear the Ojibwe language spoken! I only speak a few words that I learned trying to honor my friends with indigenous heritage so the glossary at the end is a true help and a happy surprise.
It is rare to find any history that has more than one lens yet this book provides many relatable perspectives. Additionally, it then builds a bridge for enemies to find common ground and even friendship. Tragic truths can be hard to hear when they are honest; Reclaiming Mini Sota has enough heart to carry the reader bravely through.
