Leave your dogmas at the door - Enlightening

As I write this review on 'The Jesus Code' it is just after finishing Ren Lexander's sequel, earlier today 'The Crucifixion Code'.
As a kid going to Christian schools and being the son of a preacher, I suppose it was reasonable to assume that my education in most things fundamentally Christian, certainly mainstream-wise, was close to replete. Ren Lexander's "take" on the beatitudes challenged some of that.
As a believer in God I have never discounted the vital importance of reason and other points of view. The well reasoned steps through the beatitudes in this book are intelligently and very well presented. They make sense! If you are a student of things spiritual or mystical, the journey/process Ren outlines in 'The Jesus Code' to take you to a Spirit filled God awareness is a section in the book that will surely relate. For me, it is a section that I will review and study myself. It certainly resonates with me.
It's a book for all times but certainly for these times. With so many voices running too and fro around the ethers, it is refreshing to find a clear, concise, well-researched and reasonable response that cuts to the chase.
I highly recommend it.

Two thousand years ago, a former construction worker wanders around the back streets of a third-rate country in the Roman Empire. For a couple of years, he preaches in obscure parables. He never writes anything down. He has a handful of close disciples—all of whom run away when he is arrested. He dies in ignominious agony, nailed to a cross as a criminal. That should be the end of that sad tale.

Output quality wise, the book was an easy listen and in my view, I seriously doubt anyone could have read the content as well, let alone better. It's a book that benefitted from the author's reading of it.
Growing up in a Christian home steeped in the "faith-based" as you called it brand of doctrines and dogmas, it aroused some conjecture and food for more thought on my part. Being ever the mystic-relater to God and seeker of higher awareness, I welcome the stimulation. As King Solomon said, "... with all your getting, get understanding."
I recommend this book wholeheartedly along with, 'The Jesus Code' which, I binge-consumed last week. They really are book-ends to be taken together.
