Historia
Earth 2059: The world is changed by the introduction of a chaotic, dark magic energy. Humans have developed extraordinary abilities such as telekinesis, telepathy and shapeshifting. Many of these men and women had been previously imprisoned for decades due to the public’s misunderstanding and prejudices. Recently, the United World Government released many of the downtrodden quasi- superheroes and drafted them into defense teams to fight the sinister vampires and other undead monsters that threaten to destroy our altered planet.

A lot of characters and storylines in one book!

Overall, I enjoyed getting to know the world and characters in "Thy Order Nocturnal" but got a little distracted by the narration until about midway through the audiobook when my ear acclimated. I wish the accents hadn't been so stereotypical and the production a little smoother. I would have been able to sort out all the developments and personalities sooner if my ear wasn't tripping over the transitions between dialogue and description etc. That being said, there is a lot of room to move forward with this world since there are so many interesting characters with fascinating powers! I am always amazed at science fiction/fantasy authors' imaginations and abilities to weave together futuristic plots and twists. Hope the author gets a bit more comfortable with narrating her future books!
