Historia
At once provocative and laugh-out-loud funny, Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother ignited a global parenting debate with its story of one mother’s journey in strict parenting. Amy Chua argues that Western parenting tries to respect and nurture children’s individuality, while Chinese parents typically believe that arming children with skills, strong work habits, and inner confidence prepares them best for the future.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Sure glad she wasn't my mother! It helped me understand the chinese mother but at time I felt suffocated by her.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Historia
Dellarobia Turnbow is a restless farm wife who gave up her own plans when she accidentally became pregnant at 17. Now, after a decade of domestic disharmony on a failing farm, she encounters a shocking sight: a silent, forested valley filled with what looks like a lake of fire. She can only understand it as a cautionary miracle, but it sparks a raft of other explanations from scientists, religious leaders, and the media.

She's done it again!
Revisado: 01-13-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Kingsolver has outdone herself with the narrative of this book. I had the characters voice in my head for days after finishing.
What did you like best about this story?
The introspection of the main character and how easily we all misinterpret each other.
Which character – as performed by Barbara Kingsolver – was your favorite?
Dellarubia was my personal favourite, but she gave all the characters appeal that you could relate to.
If you could take any character from Flight Behavior out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Dellarubia and her husband, I'd like to get to know both of them and maybe Ovid too so I could watch the interaction.

Historia
As a police launch speeds across Miami's Biscayne Bay - with officer Nestor Camacho on board - Tom Wolfe is off and running. Here is a big, panoramic story of the new America, as told by our master chronicler of the way we live now. Based on the same sort of detailed, on-scene, high-energy reporting that powered Tom Wolfe's previous best-selling novels, Back to Blood is another brilliant, spot-on, scrupulous, and often hilarious reckoning with our times.
