Historia
Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Alban refuses to knock the playhouse down, even keeping a picture of it on his wall.

Pay attention. You’ll need to be able to follow all the”who’s who & the what’s what”.Quite a few characters to keep track of.The story is fantastical. You think you’ve got it all figured out only to be thrown a curve ball.A didn’t see that coming, ending.I really enjoyed this book.

Haters
Revisado: 07-09-23
Never a dull moment in the life of Rachel Morgan. She’s either gotten an over inflated sense of herself or she feels the need to take blame for everything. This book was a bit predictable with(WhoDunIt),but still awesome.Marguerite has an amazing talent with being able to do so many different voice characters. I feel for her poor throat, got to wear.A suggestion to the Author on the behalf of our favorite Pixie, why won’t Rachel invest in some of those snappy hand warmers the phlebotomist use to warm up peoples hands for better blood flow when using a butterfly needle.Would never have to worry about Jenx being cold again.Always a joy listening and or reading.

Spoiler alert, this isn’t your typical romance,no sexy scenes here.Horrible things have happened to the main characters.Stuart was coping,Edie not so much.Gonna take more than 10 days to work through her fear.More dramatic than romantic.

Little House on Salem’s Lot
Revisado: 02-11-21
Not your typical vampire romance.Don’t think I’m into the whole”Amish”thing, but if you’re a species of vampire,I guess living an Amish lifestyle would be a good cover up.The whole”mated/bound”thing is confusing and different too.The author gives you the idea that once”bound”the blood of their mate is what will sustain the two who are bound, evidently not in this case. The narrator is good only if she’s narrating female voices, any male voices she makes sound(sorry)but doofy, not very sexy or appealing. Not interesting enough to listen to any of the other books in the series.

Historia
The cozy little town of Pine Deep buried the horrors of its past a long time ago. Thirty years have gone by since the darkness descended and the Black Harvest began, a time when a serial killer sheared a bloody swath through the quiet Pennsylvania village. The evil that once coursed through Pine Deep has been replaced by cheerful tourists getting ready to enjoy the country’s largest Halloween celebration in what is now called “The Spookiest Town in America.”

So far pretty interesting thriller with lots of insane characters, too many for one town to have making the odds of Pine Deep fighting the evil bad.The evil has no mercy,no conscience. This little town is being put through a test of wills and faith.Lots going on,lots of intrigue to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Army of Darkness
Revisado: 09-04-20
There are certain things I think the government can’t hide, especially a zombie horde being raised from their graves to attack Vampires.Don won’t be able to keep things under wraps, before the general public realizes there’s more going on than earthquakes and landslides.Bone’s character voice is starting to grate on the nerves.Tavia can do other male character’s voices great, but she gives “the main”male character a magpie voice.I almost wished he would’ve moved on to the other side, his character has run it’s course.

Took me a while to get on track with all the characters, whose who, from whom and the dynamics and confusion of the Quinn family.A lot going on,but it gets easier as you listen on.Sounds like a nice place to live and raise a family,I see why the Quinn’s all stayed, made the bay their home. The narration was great.I’ve listened to JD in other books narration and he is really good giving the characters individuality.Drew(the heroine)starts off being very unapproachable, but Seth’s urge to paint her, wears her down.
