Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Historia
If you want to change the world, start off by making your bed. On May 17, 2014, Admiral William H. McRaven addressed the graduating class of the University of Texas at Austin on their Commencement day. Taking inspiration from the university's slogan, "What starts here changes the world," he shared the ten principles he learned during Navy Seal training that helped him overcome challenges not only in his training and long Naval career, but also throughout his life; and he explained how anyone can use these basic lessons to change themselves - and the world - for the better.

More than inspirational!
Revisado: 09-01-19
I heard of this book at a School Counselor workshop I attended. I bought it instantly and listened to it on my drive home. This book is outstanding! I read many inspirational books, this one is going to the top of my list. It will encourage you in whatever you are going through. You will be determined to never “ring the bell.” Thank you William H. McRaven for sharing your story and writing this book.

Historia
Here's an etiquette book that teens will want to read - because it keeps them laughing, doesn't preach, and deals with issues that matter to them, as teens themselves reported in a nationwide survey. In How Rude!, author Alex J. Packer blends outrageous humor with sound advice as he guides readers through the mysterious world of manners from A ("Applause") to Z ("Zits").

How Rude review
Revisado: 05-26-15
If you could sum up How Rude! in three words, what would they be?
Perfect for crude mouths
What did you like best about this story?
The way it talked in crude layman's terms. I have some students lacking in social skills that do not have any friends. I think this talks in their language.
Have you listened to any of Johnny Heller’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No but I need to.
Any additional comments?
This book hits the nail on the head for some students I have, except for mentioning condoms. I wish that was left out. I also worry that this would teach my students how to light their natural gas. Other than those 2 things, this is perfect for my students I counsel that talk rough. Great job!
