So I did cringe multiple times because of anticipating the fallout of everything but overall a super cute story! It’s a fade to black so there’s no actual spice but you definitely get the heat and the banter is so fun.

The worst communication ever

Honestly had to stop this story multiple times because of how annoyed I was with all the characters. The story really got more and more frustrating through the whole breakup getting back together process and I’m not sure the overall plot was worth it.

Short and spicy

An adorable and very spicy story, definitely perfect for a mood reader/listener if you wanted something quick to get through. The internal miscommunication trope was a bit strong in the FMC but overall a cute story and happy ending.

Pretty average

It’s a decent story, some of the inflection with the narration was a little awkward (the male narrator gets really intense sometimes and it’s weird) but overall okay. Probably wouldn’t re-read or re-listen but the ending is cute and it does a good job following the typical omegaverse plot points with some original takes to the world building that add to the story. I’ve read the other books in this series and they’re also average to good with different tropes.

Cute story but awk narration

The story follows a pretty standard trope, there’s a lot of cute jokes and bits. The narrators have an awkward inflection though and it takes away from a lot of those jokes and cute moments. The male narrator does a surprisingly good female voice though.

I feel like if I had read this as a book instead of listened as an audiobook I would’ve enjoyed it more.

Edit: I had to stop listening to this because I got frustrated with the narration and listened to a different audiobook and when I came back to this I only made it 5 seconds. It’s way worse than I remembered.

We love Fred

Refreshingly funny and well written interactions between characters. Fred is the best and I do wish there was more of him. Definitely would re-read.

Narration errors

A bit surprised with the number of errors in narration, there were quite a few incorrect words that got through the editing and it took away from the story every time I noticed one. The story itself is good, this book is definitely a set up for the rest of the series.

Tone of story is quite different from the start

There were way too many narrators in this book, and the inflection took a lot away from the story. I’ve been kind of disappointed that character development has been put on hold and there have only been awkward flips between pointless fillers and action/story. It’s a bit jarring. I hope the next book gets better, I’ve absolutely loved every book in the series up until this and the last book.
