Historia
Most books about the history of humanity pursue either a historical or a biological approach, but Dr. Yuval Noah Harari breaks the mold with this highly original book. From examining the role evolving humans have played in the global ecosystem to charting the rise of empires, Sapiens integrates history and science to reconsider accepted narratives, connect past developments with contemporary concerns, and examine specific events within the context of larger ideas.

One of the best books I have ever encountered
Revisado: 09-16-19
Very insightful, full of stories, some made me smile and some made me exclaimed out loud.
The author really had to read and understand so many disciplines to connect all dots and relay it into layman’s language. All of these tasks are challenging and time consuming. I can’t believe that a non-fictional boom can be so entertaining and intriguing like this one. 2 thumbs up for the author.

Good plot but more characters details are missing
Revisado: 08-17-19
Overall plots are interesting. However, the writer fail to outline each character it’s details, appearance, motivations. So some actions seems to be a bit shallow or out of the blue.
I can’t even imagine how the main characters look like. No descriptions of hair, eyes, heights etc.
The mention of historical events should also be more outlined in details.
Not to mention the performance that the narrator has only one sound. She doesn’t even try to change her voice to men’s or other characters. Others audiobooks have much better narrator.

The reader’s voice was annoying
Revisado: 05-19-19
The story was so so. But the reader was trying to lower her voice to the level that it’s not natural. And it made the listener feel uncomfortable

It's like watching a movie
Revisado: 07-23-15
Even though it's a bit long, especially in the beginning with so much background and narratives of many characters, it is enticing in the middle part and exciting towards the end. And I still want to listen on for the next episode.

Can't stop listening especially towards the end
Revisado: 12-21-14
I downloaded this book out of random recommendation from Audible without knowing anything about it. I didn't even read the synopsis. So, in the beginning of the book when the background and scene establishment were made, it was a bit boring for me cos I didn't know where the story will lead. It was about 1 hour of listening in that boring mood. However, the more I listened and stick to it, the story became more intended and engaging. Now I found myself trying to find all of my free time to just listen to it.
As an Asian, I don't know much about English and Scottish history. But this book gave me a new perspective and knowledge at the same time. I researched more of the historical facts about the settings during the Rising and WWII. It's a fun way to educate myself and get to enjoy the plot and character. Now, I am inspired to travel to Scotland just to see the castle and such :)
All and all, I highly recommend this book for anyone who has spare time to travel back into time ^_^
