Historia
Why isn't your love life where you want it to be? Are you going to point fingers at the quality of today's men, blame the city that you live in, or come up with the defense that you don't have the energy to date? You pretend to be working on yourself, but you secretly hope and wish that Prince Charming will fall in your lap. You make the excuse that it's not you, it's the men, but there is something inside of you that knows the common denominator in all of your failed relationships was you!

This is really excellent. Should be a required course for women. I’m surprised about how much I got out of it and it’s depth. I wouldn’t have guessed.

Excellent book in the series!
Revisado: 10-19-20
This was a great addition to the Bosch story. I have grown to like Bosch but I’ve found his character to be overall too serious to be my kind of hero. The addition of Micky Haller adds just the right amount of moxie and humor. The story was engaging and even touching. A total win for the good guys.

Incredible
Revisado: 10-06-20
It’s hard to imagine where Donna Tartt has come from. She is the most incredible writer. I was completely enraptured throughout this whole book. Her descriptions and reflections are unlike any author I have ever read. I held out forever from listening to this, deterred by the many reviews of the horrible narration. But I felt that she did a good job. It could have been better if there were the right professional narrator, but overall her narration didn’t ruin the book by any means and I’m grateful to have taken the chance and feel enriched as a person for having the experience or hearing this book.

Amazing! Don’t listen to negative reviews
Revisado: 09-30-20
I held off forever from this listen because of the negative reviews. I usually go for the books that hot it out of the park. I’m surprised because I thought this was one of Coben’s best. The story is captivating and the narration was awesome. I’m surprised at others response because this is one of my favorite listens ever. So much so that I decided to leave a review which a rarely do.

A series with many heroes
Revisado: 07-26-18
This is my first review of the series because I haven’t wanted to stop even for a moment before starting the next book. I love the strong direct style of this story telling without excessive battle scenes and political descriptions. Also loving that the author doesn’t shy away from the intricacies and intimacies of sexual encounters. So far it is a series with many heroes that explore relationships as well as adventure and conflicts. I’m very happy to have stumbled upon this series and highly recommend.

Greece in the age of heroes. Patroclus, an awkward young prince, has been exiled to the kingdom of Phthia to be raised in the shadow of King Peleus and his golden son, Achilles. “The best of all the Greeks”—strong, beautiful, and the child of a goddess—Achilles is everything the shamed Patroclus is not. Yet despite their differences, the boys become steadfast companions. Their bond deepens as they grow into young men and become skilled in the arts of war and medicine—much to the displeasure and the fury of Achilles’ mother, Thetis, a cruel sea goddess with a hatred of mortals.

My favorite of the series
Revisado: 06-25-18
Loved this one so much and am hoping there will be a next book in the series. So great to experience this type of fantasy novel from a woman author. I’ve read other reviews that have complained about too much torture and rape but from my perspective the description are lite and people keep their limbs and not everyone dies. Excellent work all around. Nick Podehl is a Master at bringing it all to life. His performance is above and beyond what other narrators have done. He’s the tops!

Full of adventure. So much fun!
Revisado: 04-30-18
I always feel a little sad when reaching the end of each of the books in this series - it’s like having to saying goodbye to good friends. I love that MJS brings humor and happy times to the story lines. I love epic fantasy novels but they can also be battle and war heavy. Can’t wait for more! TGR is the best narrator out there. So great! Bravo!!

Beautifully written and insightful
Revisado: 07-23-17
Who knew that the monogamy debate could be a suspense thriller? Up until the end I didn't know which direction he would choose which speaks to the books sincere debate and exploration rather than what could be a biased manifesto. He is shockingly sensitive and thoughtful as the author goes on his journey through his personal truth and at times downright poetic. One of my favorite books of this years and certainly the most surprising.
