I did not like the solo adventures of Ryan Jr. I thought his teamwork with the other Clancy characters was highly preferable. I would not attend a film based on this novel.

Narrator was weak on dialects.

I would have enjoyed this more had I read the book ins taped of listening to the audio. The narrator did not sound like a Navajo person but rather more like a French-Canadian with the pronunciation of letter N's and R's.
The story was interesting but did not hold my intense interest as did the earlier Hillerman stories.

Yes, I would recommend it as a good spy story.

The plot development in one. Of. Russia's smaller ethnically troubled areas.
What about Scott Brick’s performance did you like?
Scott has a great talent to establish the proper intonation for each novel he reads. He would have been a great voice in the days of radio drama.

I have tried new authors just because Brick is the narrator.

There were 12 of them. Bottoms, that is. Au naturel. The most eye-wrecking collection of derrieres ever to pop out of a printed page - the "WOW' pin-up girls...one for each month of the year. No faces, no names, not even swaddling clothes...just September, October, December, like that. Man, you should have seen January - every inch a torrid zone. And wouldn't you know I'd get to work through the whole calendar? Well, they don't call me Shell Scott for nothing.

THIS BOOK HAD A LOT OF REDUNDANT SCRIPTURE QUOTATIONS WHICH SEEMED TO BE JUST SPACE FILLERS I WISH I WOULD HAVE EXCHANGED IT. IT APPEARED TO BE A GOOD ADVENTURE STORY BY THE DESCRIPTION BUT WAS I FOOLED!
