Salma Khatun is hopeful about Blenheim, the suburban development into which she, her husband, and their son have just moved. The Bangladeshi family needs a fresh start, and Blenheim feels like just the place. Soon after they move in, Salma spots her white neighbor, Tom Hutton, ripping out the anti-racist banner her son put in the front garden. Avoiding confrontation, Salma takes the banner inside and puts it in her window. But the next morning, she wakes up to find her window smeared with paint.

Boring
Revisado: 06-30-24
This book was so incredibly boring to me. The whole book was so slow. I kept waiting for something exciting to happen, and I never got that. I was so excited to listen to this and then I really struggled to finish it.

It’s incredibly brave to share a story like this. I loved the use of transcripts, as it was accurate and factual. My heart goes out to those affected by this tragedy.

Historia
Police Chief Nash Morgan is known for two things: Being a good guy and the way his uniform accentuates his butt. Two bullets put a dent in that Southern charm but—thankfully—spared his spectacular rear end. He’s got his hands full with the man who shot him still on the loose, healing wounds, and citizens who think of the law as more of a “guideline”. Throw in the gloomy mood that clings to him, and the last thing he needs is a smart-mouthed, gorgeous new neighbor making him feel things he doesn’t have the energy to feel.

Meh
Revisado: 02-08-24
I loved the first book and immediately bought the second and third. This book was WAY more sexual than the first, to the point that it made it unenjoyable for me.

Attention grabbing

From the second I started listening to this book, I was hooked. The narrators are excellent, the story was interesting and no detail spared. I already bought the next two books!

Amazing
Revisado: 03-01-21
I’ve read at least 20 Nora Roberts books and this was my absolute favorite until the last two minutes. The lack of closure and explanation really left you hanging during a stressful situation. Overall, I’d definitely read it again, but the ending really leaves you guessing.
