I've been waiting (impatiently) for this book to hit Audible after bingeing the rest of the series. I love the sass from both Ari and Jax in print, and I could not wait to hear Jax's "Ariana" come to life. The narrator did not disappoint. Both narrators did a great job in their telling of Sylvie's story, bringing these characters to life and the almost family love story this book brings.

I loved this book and the expansion of Sylvie's universe. The secret crushes, the shared bedroom wall, *that* kitchen scene, and a big misunderstanding make this a hilarious, awkward and completely enjoyable romance. The narrators bring the characters to life in one of my favorite audiobook adaptations to date. Be prepared to giggle and cringe in public while listening to this book because you won't want to hit pause!

Just what I was waiting for!

I love the Carolina Connections series and I had been itching for Brett and Olivia's story to make it to Audible. It's my first listen of 2020 and it was just what I was waiting for! For every person who has ever been friend-zoned, this story is the happy ending you're looking for. The sass, smarts, and baseball have me itching for spring and wishing I could catch a game with Sylvie's crew. The narrators did a fantastic job bringing the characters and story to life for an enjoyable listening experience.

Great ending to a great tale!

I'm definitely a sucker for happy endings and I'm pleased with how Leo and Ruby's story works out. the narrator is once again an excellent voice for Sylvie's words and I'm thrilled with the way these two develop a realist relationship. Sylvie - please tell me Malcolm gets his own story?! I can't wait for more!

Part One of a Royal Romance

Full disclosure: rich or royal book boyfriends are not my favorite read. But there is her knack for storytelling that makes me fall in love with Sylvie's prince anyway. You fall for Leo and Ruby from their first awkward meeting and want more all the way to the cliffhanger end....so jump in Between a Rock and a Royal....and be ready to continue with its sequel.

P.S. The narrator does Leo's accent so well, it's easy to melt right into the story!

A romance with sass and snarls

When you can listen to the banter a single narrator has with herself and decipher which Georgia woman is speaking, you know the audiobook is well-done. When you are laughing outloud and grunting along with the male love interest, you know the story is well-written. Poppy and Mac bring together her sass and his snarls in a story you'll love.

Careful meets carefree love story

Emerson is my book alter ego in the world of Sylvie Stewart - ever the careful planner who prioritizes pretty much everything above herself. Cue Gavin to bring his cute carefree self into her life to mix things up. I love the text exchanges and contact names in this book and was nervous about how it'd come out in audio but they've pulled it off. And this book had me laughing out loud in public as the narrator brought the story to life. Can't wait for the next adventure!

I loved the telling of Bailey and Jake's story in print, especially with the apt use of flashbacks to their rendezvous that was hinted in the epilogue of a previous book by Ms. Stewart. I was a little nervous of how the mixed timeline would be pulled off in the Audible format but the narrator did a great job keeping me in the right moment. It was a good performance of great storytelling of how impulsive decisions can have an impact on love and friendship...and ex-boyfriend's faces. Bailey's snark comes through beautifully in this reading but I was left a teensy-bit wanting when it came to Jake's growls of "Irish." Overall, I couldn't go to sleep until I'd finished listening!

Nothing but love for this enemies-to-lovers story

Fiona and Mark are my favorites in Sylvie Stewart's Carolina Connections world. Fiona is my girl and I wish she was my fairy godmother too. The way she and Mark whip each other into shape in The Spark has me laughing and swooning, and calling everyone shortcake. The narrators do a wonderful job bringing the story to life and bringing me right home to North Carolina...or to that nightclub on the Jersey shore. ;)

Love the story, Narrator is a great Laney

Love Laney and Nate's love story and the narrator does great with bringing Laney to life. I earned my Marathon badge listening - didn't want to pause! - and laughed out loud especially at little Rocco! I would've loved a male voice to bring Nate to life but overall, Sylvie's words sound great in any octave.
