Historia
In the days of ancient Israel, Hannah is a woman oppressed. Her once-hopeful marriage is a nightmare, her husband Levi is violently abusive. Hannah believes it is because she is barren, and if she could only give him a child, all would be well. But no child comes, and she does not know how long she can possibly endure. She prays for release and after six long years of Levi's cruelty, he suddenly drowns. Hannah is finally free, free to heal her body and spirit.

Umm, I don’t know what to say I think for a Christian book there was a very dark aspect to it that made me feel uncomfortable. Especially towards the end of the book. Felt very dark and murderous. Two Christians relishing on another’s death? And saying well I’m so glad he’s dead. There were a lot of things that didn’t connect. Realistically, after an abusive relationship I don’t think a person can rebuild trust in only a few weeks. And that trust was rebuilt by them not living together but he was gone for 6 weeks. A lot of characters brought in the story were also left unfinished. Would I recommend this book...no ...I don’t. Unless you really run out of audiobooks to listen.
