Amazing story, weak narration.
Revisado: 12-13-23
I started reading the kindle version, and decided to get the Audible to listen at work, but I couldn't get through it. Authors who narrate their own works know what their characters sound like, but rarely have the ability to perform. This isn't an exception. If this gets re-released with a professional narrator, I'll give it another go.

The weakest story so far.
Revisado: 08-18-22
I'm unsure where Tao Wong was trying to go with this one but it didn't make it. The story was all over the place in the beginning with a weird pseudo-montage with things that would've actually been better than what we got. This is one of my favorite series and had amazing supporting characters to help guide Wu Ying along until now. No Tou He, who is objectively and better MC and I wish we had a series of him, but this just felt lacking all over the place. Narratorion is always on point with Baldree. Overall this is the weakest in the series by far.

Another Great entry

Loved this series. Really wish it would be made into an mmo. love all the character arcs and interactions. not a fan of troop/resource management aspects of it but that played an insignificant role in the story overall.
