Historia
The start of Home Depot sounds like the beginning of a bad joke: Two Jews and an Italian decide to build a new kind of hardware store... In 1978, Bernie Marcus's livelihood depended on just such a scenario. Having been fired at the age of forty-nine, he teamed up with Arthur Blank and Ken Langone on a bold new endeavor. Their first day in business was so disastrous that the next morning, Marcus's wife wouldn't let him shave because she didn't want a razor in his hands.

This is how CEO’s should be
Revisado: 05-02-25
I’ve been a Home Depot customer for decades. I’m a DIY woman. Bernie Marcus has changed my perception of CEO’s and I will always walk HD’s stores with a new sight.
A wonderful book to read, a great man’s story. I hope every employee of HD listens to this book and feels more proud than what they already are.
Bernie and his leadership team are what CEO’s should be.
Bernie’s philanthropic life amazing. Great man, great company, great heart.

What a web powerful men weave.
So many young women are victims of sexually pervert powerful men.
Jeffrey knew that he could make powerful men do whatever Jeffrey wanted, by the #1 mens weakness, the kryptonite called pu%%y.
Vicky Ward did a great job investigating and getting the story out, and now finally told without corrupted editors hiding the truth.
My heart goes out to all the young women victims.
Ghislaine was pulled into Jeffreys web, but she could’ve come clean.

Con but not an artist
Revisado: 04-13-25
Amazing how jen got away with it fit so long. Why did it take 10 years to find out the call canters were a scam?
Reality TV shows are all about drama, why do people watch those shows, I have no clue,
I’m glad she’s in jail but when she comes out, she will stop be a con.
I loved what her assistant said “ she’s a con but not am artist” that for real.

Historia
In the summer of 1974, a 14-year-old girl in Dolton, Illinois, had a dream - a dream to become an actress. But it was a long way from the South Side of Chicago to Hollywood, and it didn’t help that she’d recently dropped out of the school play, The Ugly Duckling, or that the Hollywood casting directors she wrote to replied that "professional training was a requirement". But the funny thing is, it all came true....

I’m a big Jane Lynch fan. Jane and I are the same age only three months apart. Listening on how she struggled with her sexuality when she was younger reminds me of how I struggle with mine. Many times I said yup I understand. James ‘s voice is very soothing and a great voice for a storytelling. I really like this book and I will recommend it to others. Thank you for telling your story Jane. I’m still a big fan of your work. .
