She Speaks My Language!

I’m reading/listening to everything she has written. (Research in the last 10 years suggests that people who swear are both more intelligent and more honest…)

Historia
Despite being written off by the media, Andrew Yang’s shoestring 2020 presidential campaign—powered by his proposal for a universal basic income of $1,000 a month for all Americans—jolted the political establishment, growing into a massive, diverse movement. Now, in Forward, Yang reveals that UBI and the threat of job automation are only the beginning, diagnosing how a series of cascading problems within our antiquated systems keeps us stuck in the past—imperiling our democracy at every level.

There’s A Reason We Call Ourselves “YangGang”!
Revisado: 10-09-21
The smartest, most ethical member of our generation. His analysis of the big picture is incredibly accurate and his solutions are both practical and powerful. He is a source of hope that somehow, some of this chaos can be solved. It’s also beyond amazing to hear him read his own book.

Historia
Martin Scorcese’s The Departed barely touched his story, but radio talk show sensation, crime reporter, and Boston Herald columnist, Howie Carr, takes us into the heart of the life of Johnny Martorano. For two decades Martorano struck fear into anyone remotely connected to his world. His partnership with Whitey Bulger and the infamous Winter Hill Gang led to 20 murders for which Johnny would serve only 12 years in prison.

Wicked Awesome!
Revisado: 08-09-21
We all know the story but it’s fun to hear it from different angles. The narrator does a great job with the Boston accent. The yelling and swearing sound so real! The only problem was his pronunciation of “Worcester”, making it clear that he’s not a native Masshole.
