Amazing!
Revisado: 08-01-24
Fresh take on time travel, friendship/fellowship, fantasy. Good character development and excellent storytelling. BUT HOW DID THEY MISS THE PROFESSOR’S EXPERIMENTS? Can’t wait to start book 2. R. Dugas is an amazing narrator as well. Found this b/c I was looking for more of his work. Win-win.

5 stars for all
Revisado: 09-07-23
A refreshing break from the typical apocalyptic story that has a military guy leading the group of survivors. Using a gamma ray burst as the near-ELE was unique and added a significant layer to the typical post-apocalyptic challenges. Strong believable characters with a balanced amount of background woven into the story. Recommend highly. Tom Taylorson is the best narrator - performer, really - I’ve heard. Lots of characters and excellent presentation of and differentiation between them all.

Historia
Steve and the other survivors in the UK have rebuilt and healed after the brutal end to the reign of Richards. But removing a dictator was only the beginning.... Years after a mistake of compassion and humanity, an enemy thought long gone returns to bring down a rain of violence and terror the likes of which they have never seen before. Their society, a peaceful one of trade and cooperation, has moved on from the bloody aftermath of the collapse, but that evolution blunts their teeth to be able to combat the new threat.

Great series. Excellent narration!
Revisado: 08-10-23
Not the usual approach to the apocalypse, and nothing like Ford’s other series, After It Happened (also amazing), which is refreshing for this genre. Believable protagonists and scenarios re human behavior. Would love to have seen more development for Lydia, but this was her parents’ tale, so I get it.
